  • Deuteronomy 4:?? “But watch out! Be very careful never to forget what you have seen the LORD do for you. Do not let these things escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren.”

A  good thought for the day.  NEVER forgot the good things from the past…..and pass them so they will be remembered.  For God HAS done great things

The baby shower was delightful.  I hadn’t realized HOW much of a hermit I’ve become the last 3 months.  Of course I have some very good reasons for it, but wow I got to make small steps to alter it.

Today is my first baby step   Theory is sil is bringing my nieces over and the munchkins are all gonna play on the trampoline and our yard this afternoon.  Its a gorgeous but chilly day again today, so it should be fun.    Her dh is working a 48 hour shift……(paramedic)  and mines at work too.  I thought of her because both of our dh’s do weird shifts.

Its harder for me to get together with others because Rob’s days off are Monday & Tuesday & Friday.  The days that most moms are hubby free.  I don’t like committing myself on those days as then we don’t see much of Rob.  So just gotta get creative I guess.

Of course in another 7 weeks or so gonna have another newborn…and then I’ll probably hermit again LOL  Oh well gotta keep trying right?

Currently attempting to make rice milk.  I think I need a new blender.  UGH!  Mine is just not wanting to do it.  Been needing a new one anyhow.  And will be getting our respite check today.  So maybe Monday (date night)  dh and I will go shopping.  Need a new floor lamp too.  AS ours is 99% dead.  It takes us about 5 minutes to turn the stupid thing on…and at least that long to turn it off again.  Besides what we have is a relic of dh’s bachelor years…and loooked much better in his modern apartment, and AWFUL in my schoolhouse.  But he was offended when I thought we should get rid of it   So now that its dead (and no I didn’t sabotage it )  I can get rid of it with a free conscience…oh yeah and he asked me to get rid of it yesterday…so it must be getting mad

And now its official I DO need a new blender I just burned mine up.  So now what the heck is Jamari supposed to drink this weekend?  He puked the goat milk up ALL over the place.

HMMMM me thinks it must be getting time to potty train a Midget (Kaylin)  She just brought me a diaper and the wet wipes and stood there pulling on her EWWWWY diaper until I changed her.  ROFL  What do you think?  I think I’ll wait until AFTER the littlest Signor joins the family thank you very much.  Even if she IS ready…I’m not.

Kaylin has also *joy* figured out where mommy keeps her pop.  And she REALLY likes to share mommy’s pop.  This morning she drank 75% of it as I was busy wandering around doing stuff.  She just kept guzzling…..and when that one was done…yep she brought me another one.  And NO I’m not stupid I didn’t open the second one.  LOL

I had such a wonderful visit with a friend last night.  We talked a lot about the guilt that parents give themselves when parenting.  And how we both should just QUIT reading parenting books.  Because the more we read the more we doubt ourselves, and the less we are able to function.  *sigh* LOL    Oh and I should quit reading BB’s too

Jamari and I are doing VERY well together when Rob is not home.  When Rob is home….well we have our moments.  I waver between two ways to handle it.  He prefers to let Rob do EVERYTHING when he’s home…and pretend I don’t exist.  In another 7 weeks…thats pretty much gonna have to be the modem operendi as the newborn is gonna be my main concern.  So part of me says…don’t push it, the other part says….but, but, but he needs to figure out “I’m okay too”  He HAS figured it out…just prefers dad when dads around.  So I think I’m just gonna BACK off.  And do my job when Rob’s gone.  And ENJOY it…and let him be a daddy’s boy when Rob’s around.  Its not worth the stress the rest of the family suffers when Jamari is a SCREAMING.

Father God, I thank you for this new day.  I pray that sil does come with the girls, and we have a fun time.  I ask that Samuel and the girls do NOT fight, and that A is nice to Samuel.  I thank you for the lovely break last night, and the good visiting.  In your sons name, Amen
