and I am down to speaking in whispers--or a low growl.
Rob wanted to take me to the ER last night...which he knows goes over about as well as a thunk on the head.
I have this low rattly cough deep in my lungs.
Such fun.
Good morning
Had a lovely evening last night. The tide was low, so we headed out to Slip Point. We've been told for months it has the "best" tide pools around. But its a bit of a walk, and your timing has to be right. I don't know about the best tide pools, but it sure was a gorgeous beach. The first 1/2 mile of it was pebble beach. It was hard to walk on--even for Rob who rarely admits defeat. And then it was jumping from rock to rock on the tide pools. There used to be an old lighthouse out here, and there's movement to rebuild it, who knows if that will happen. This community is rarely motivated.
I was impressed by the major BIG muscle shells. They were abundant.
I was also impressed with the point we were walking around. It was a HIGH cliff. The concrete piling down at the bottom used to be part of a cat-walk to get to the lighthouse. They took it down in 2000 or so according to what I read on the internet.
The kids were impressed by the big boulders they climbed up over around and under. They were always miles ahead of us...does this mean I'm getting old? *snicker*
Aren't they scarrey? *snicker*
And *gasp* a picture of me. And no those shorts aren't flattering. *snicker* But they are extremely comfy. Tis okay I'm slowly working down weight-wise. And I'm comfortable with what I look like even if I shouldn't be. I live a full life, and that is what counts.
And last of what I will share--Rainee Grace and her new hair-cut. She didn't like her bangs--now I don't like them. *sigh* They are much worse this morning as they are sticking straight up, what little there is of them.
I'm just glad so far she hasn't gotten her back hair. Hides the scissors even higher up.
This weeks photo blog is what's in your fridge;
Rob didn't want me to enter. The good news is I think he may be cleaning it out today. *snicker*
My photos are honest, I didn't clean. Be prepared to be scared. The far away view. It appears there are at least two open jars of ketchup. *big surpise* Ahh yes and two jars of open mayo. (rolls eyes)
And lots of eggs. We are a family of 8 after all. LOL
Notice the careful stacking, and the clean presentation of our food, doesn't it just make you hungry? *so not*
And please note the careful wrapping of veggies in Seran wrap to keep them fresh.. Woops apparently somebody was in a hurry. Please pay extra attention to the empty hot dog container under the green pepper--apparently which ever kid helped themselves to a snack forgot to remove the evidence. Bangs head on the desk. And the mystery item in the back of the fridge in the plastic container? DH threw it in the trash about 30 seconds ago...there are some things nobody wants to know.
What a lovely bunch of fresh crisp celery...actually I think it shoulda been thrown away three days ago. *shudders* Nice to see the watermelon got saran wrapped anyhow. *snicker* And in the back corner you *know* why we need the arm & hammer. Its the only reason we're not sleeping out on the lawn thanks to this lovely not-so-clean fridge.
And one last for good measure.
Now you know why we have so much time to play...we used the time there instead of cleaning our fridge. *Snicker*
Good morning
The pony dumped the kids this morning. The kids had it coming. *snicker* I kinda couldn't get mad at the pony. Samuel and Zeria decided Jamari could lead it (we don't have a bridle yet) and they both got on at the same time. They are two big to be on her at the same time. The pony told them off. *snort* She is a teensy bit skiddish also if you come up on her blind side--who wouldn't be. But Samuel is out laying on her back without a rope, and she just sits there chomping grass.
Cricket lets Jamari lead her around the yard. Jamari is five, and a small five. She just follows him.
I was just wiped out yesterday, and curled up in a corner and read all evening. I'm sorry for those who are waiting for me to create work for them at the boards. I'm hoping I will be able to do so tonight.
Okay Kerry just so ya feel better, here's my moment of weakness in action
She was "only" $300. She's 7 years old, and may be in foal. If she is the previous owner will take the baby. IF she isn't we both cheer. LOL She's blind in her right eye--which is why the price drop. She's actually on trial, but I think we're probably suckers enough to keep her permanently.
Rob didn't get his riding lawn mower, so apparently he got a walking one instead.
Good morning
Its beautiful outside, and I need to go enjoy it! Although carefully as I'm still sporting a sunburn from Monday.
My visit with my friend just rather drained me mentally. She's so hurting, and I have so little to offer her except a ear. I swear some days I feel too much.
Okies I need my pop...I NEED it. I'm mentally dead. LOL, and my kiddos are about to get extremely hyper. Details of that to come.
*snicker* Kayte your welcome any day and you know it.
Jenny was welcome too, and she still may come back LOL. The only reason it was impractical is our living in the hinterlands. She is at her mom's house, and has just decided to fight it out with her sister. She doesn't want to ask her mom, because it seems like a stupid thing to bring up when someone's dying. She may eventually have to.
It was a long day today due to me having to drive to Sequim and back, so I'm laying low, and I'll catch-up tomorrow.
Mommy and Jerbud--I took it *grin*
Two of the ducks *giggles* This is Zeria and her friend Shelby who she enjoys spending so much time with.
Kaylin and Zeria being very sweet. Kaylin was a flytrap.
And an all too realistic picture of thet three of them--notice Samuel attempting to strangle Zeria. *snicker*
I think my friend is going to fight her sister out to stay in her mom's house. She's feeling a bit more ornrey today. Its extremely unconvenient for her to stay here as it would mean a five hour run to go see her mom. If that doesn't work out my mom has offered her a room at her house--she actually has a empty one. *Snicker*
But its still all limboish.
Good morning
Its a day.
It was BEAUTIFUL today. Hot outside, and I'm sporting a bit of a sunburn. LOl
I still don't know what my friend is going to do. She's not coping well. She's basically on melt-down mode. She's a very even-killed person, and right now she's in capable of making another decision. I can't exactly blame her.
There is a good possibility I have to run into Sequim to get her a vehicle, but not even sure about that. I rather hate living in limbo, but man she hates it even more.
Her husbands job burned down with the house. There's no insurance to replace the house that they didn't even own. Her husband has headed back to Montana, but their not even sure why. Her son went with her husband so he can finish his homeschooling for the year. Samuel's going to miss him. Even though Paul is almost 13 they had a blast together.
I am just the shoulder to lean on, and a good distraction with my zoo of kids
PSSST I hate people who lean over my monitor while I'm typing. LOL I may have my online time curtailed a bit as a result--she's always had a bit of a issue with personal space. *snicker*
