  • I think my back needs someone to wave a miracle wand over it.  UGH.  And I'm almost out of prescription pain killers to deal with it.

    *sigh*

And I have a new doctor who I haven't seen yet, so I need to do my first visit, before I can get some more.  LOVERLY.

So prayers in that whole thing would be appreciated.

My kids are hyyyyper.  Rob was discussing gags.  LOL.

We have come up with plan three for an addition, and I think we shall actually do this one.  We are going to close in our deck, and make a sun room/mud room entry way.  Their is just not enough room for boots, and we have to trip over them to get in or out.  And the coats are currently piled on the hearth.    and so I think thats the plan.  We will have to make the floor level first, and then pick up doors/windows at waste-not-want-not.  Its supposed to be a much windowed room.  *grin*

Oh look sleeping Jer in my arms.  He must be as tired as I feel LOL   So, life moves on, and man this is a boring blog.

  • And I'm back.  My back didn't do so hot, the kiddos did.  Except I didn't have a stroller, and Jer is just not fun to take shopping, so that we didn't do much of.

Rainee did well, I was highly impressed with the G.I. doctor.  They want to do the endoscopy, but they want to wait until summer because of her respitory issues.   They would like us to try to wean her off the reflux med in May or so, and if it doesn't go we will call and schedule.

My mom and I had a relaxing visit, and the kids were quite good, well except Jer doesn't like sleeping in strange motels, big surpise there.

Next time, he's so NOT invited.  LOL

This morning I took Jer for a walk, the other kids snuck around some, bike riding etc.  It was all on our property.   He had great fun finding every single solitary puddle. Two or three times.

And well he fell.  About fifteen times.

                                                                            100_0999

And though he looks cranky here, it wasn't cause of the mud, it was cause I was standing in his way to take the picture.  *snigger*

    He LOOOOVES mud I think.

Eventually he got cold and muddy, so he's in the tub with Zeria getting two or three layers of mud off.  I suspect we'll be pulling mud out of his hair for awhile.

He is such an independant little skunk.  We were allowed to help him stand up when he fell.   But we absolutely were *not* allowed to pick him up.  UNH UH, he wanted to walk all on his own.

And yes he doesn't have a coat on, and yes he's cold.   Thus the bath.    Its actually quite nice outside,  in the 50's or so, and not raining.  Something I haven't seen in a LONG time.

  • And I shall be gone tomorrow and Wednesday.  I'm headed to Seattle and doing Rainee's med appointment.

My mom will be going with me so she can watch Jer while I'm at the doctors.   I'm hoping we find ways to have fun in the midst of stress.

Other then that been killing monsters, and surfing boards.

I think killing monsters is quite satisfying.

  • and I think we've reached saturation point.  I have a inch of standing water everywhere outside.  Its not a puddle, it just can't be absorbed into the ground its coming down so hard.

    EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

  • Cool, thanks for all of the opinions, and two was the one I was leaning towards.   This is who is doing my piece.  I didn't get who does most of BW's art work as she herself admits on her site she isn't competely comfortable with light and airy.  And Meredith is just so into it.

I'm getting so excited to see the end result.

I have just changed primary care providers.  We have a new P.A. about a half hour from here, so I will be going there, instead of the two hour stint.  I LOVE Diane, but its just too far away.

Other then that guess what its doing outside?  Any guesses.  Never mind its raining.

I understand now why the Seattle indians are rumored to have had 20 words for rain.  *snigger*

    And life rolls on.

  • Votes are needed.

I am commissioning art work for my main character at Bardic Web.

She has sent me too preliminary sketches to pick from.   I have a somewhat favorite, but would love to here opinions.

This is ONE   And this is TWO

Any comments appreciated even if you *don't* know what I'm talking about.  Go ahead Re Educator you can laugh again.  *grin*

  • Wow, Just wow.

We are currently for all practical purposes a one car family, which living out here in the hinter lands has its frustrations.  LOL

Anyhow this afternoon my mom was discussing when the retreat was etc, and I mentioned I would probably be taking the transit bus,  which would have been a MAJOR pain in the butt, but it left Rob with the driving vehicle that fits the kids.  The commute car is rather toast.  Its engine is on its last leg, it blows tons of blue smoke, and then only driving its been doing is up the hill and back down.  (2 miles round trip)    And everybody eyes it rather askant.  NEedless to say it wasn't going to make it 2 hours to my moms and back.   We really want to replace the engine as it gets fabulous gas mileage, and has been an extremely worthy little car, but that's $3,000 or more that we can't figure out how to swing yet.

So that's the background.  We've been doing okay, except now we have Seattle runs coming up etc, and all of them meant leaving Rob stranded without a running vehicle with five kids which of course made us both shudder.

When I mentioned the transit bus my mom got quiet.  "You know we've been trying to sell our van, and nobody wants it, Dad just said he wanted to give it away, do you guys want it?  Its a wonderful 9 passenger van with extremely good tires on it etc.  It just something that most people around here aren't buying.   So a quick call to my dad to make sure he did want to give it away, and we have another vehicle, something we hadn't even really started praying about.

    *grin*

    Just cool!

  • Feeling much better, and managed to drive to Forks to go grocery shopping.  A thirty-five minute drive.  Its just one smallish store, but all and all I did pretty well.   I will begin planning ahead and buying meat in P.A.  and freezing it rather then buying it in Forks, but other then that it worked pretty well.

My kids were hoots when I got back.  We've been quite low on the "good"  food, and they were singing with excitement as they saw certain items.  The one that just cracked Rob up was their singing and dancing as they carried the garlic bread in.  (a treat)  So he started skipping and singing too.   The kids just all started cracking up.  *snicker*

Oh Dee,   I think you should tell SAlem he has much to be greatful for.  The first and foremost would be not being loved by a bunch of munchkins I think.

Tonight is Awana, and I will be doing that lovely drive.   I'm really hoping my bil is working so I can go hang at my sisters house.  Hanging in the church isn't much fun.

And I'm thrilled with another piece of news.  I finally got in contact with "E"  the lady in town here, well sorta town, but anyhow she informed me their starting up a low key informal elementary school basketball teams.    So Zeria and Samuel are going to do that, and meet some new people, and hopefully I can meet some moms.   Its a afterschool program, and should be fun, and if it isn't we will have learned a lesson.  LOL

So, I have to run to the school tomorrow and pick up the applications at the schoool library, have to figure out where that is too, LOL.  I've been to the school office awhile back (several years delivering something for my mom)  so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard.  I was and am quite excited about finding a way to get to know a few people.

And this weekend I'm getting a night off.  My moms church is having a mini-retreat, and she invited me to come.  Jer is night-weaned, and I will be leaving him behind.  First time.  WOO.  I think it will be very nice to have some totally me time.

  • Good morning

Shadow your welcome to our rain, I'm sending via UPS.   Just be careful it comes with large dollups of MUD.

I'm feeling sorta-okay at the moment.  WAy better then yesterday.  But cautious as I felt pretty good first thing in the morning  yesterday and ended up flat in bed just miserable.   Rob ended up taking a sick day as I just wasn't functioning.

I have very few brain cells still.  Things kinda float around me rather then making sense.    Cuts through the fog and tries to understand.

Today is payday and we desperately need things.  And *shrugs*  I'm not sure if its gonna happen.

    We shall see.

  • Ummm I mentioned its raining a few times right?  Well it continues to do so.  And this weekend it just poured and poured.  I spent most of the weekend huddling in bed nursing my very sore throat and stuffy nose.   But  Sunday afternoon I was up for a little bit of fresh air.   Well we have property on the other side of the river, actually the majority of our property is on that side, and we've never gotten to see most of it as its quite brushy, no trails etc.    So Rob's been itchy to go see what was there.      We knew their was access by a old logging road in one part of it, and we drove there and began walking.  In the down pour.  The deal with logging roads however is well there muddy.  LOTS of muddy.   We kept getting stuck in what we dubbed quick mud.

All of us.   Except Jer who was quite content in the backpack.  I had to have Rob help me pull my boots out at least twice.  Of course the fact I was laughing like a loon probably didn't help much.  ROFL

Samuel thought it was hysterical and started doing it on purpose.   Well except for the one time he literally couldn't get his boot out.   Rob had to go rescue him that time.  After that Sam started doing it on purpose and on all fours.  Hands and feet stuck.  It wasn't pretty.  And dang it but I didn't get a picture of him.  LOL   He was usually way behind or foragging ahead.

And the way he's crouched over in this picture it was necessary to walk that way  so one could move.   And mean mom instead of helping these two when they finally completely lost their sense of humor, got my camera out took pictures and laughed like a lunatic.    Apparently I'm just a bit evil.

Kaylin was the only one who managed not to get stuck.  And she came home the least muddy of all of us.  A feat I'm still pondering.  I guess being laid back to the point of almost boring is good for something.  LOL

And Rainee was like Samuel she took it all with good grace and a big smile.   She just thought it was all funny.

Needless to say we didn't get too far we did

manage to get to the river, but Rob had wanted to walk the property line on that side, and wisdom intercepted and informed us probably we should do this without kids, or wait until spring.  ROFL

Anyhow the fresh air was wonderful the mud not so much.  All those they say laughter is the best medicine.  For the most part I'm still quite miserable, and have zero brains for anything.      I am ready to be healed.  Thanks
