  • Marion its beautiful.  Thank you so much.  She did a MEME and listed a song.  I'd never heard the song, so she sent it to me.  I just gorgeous.    Its funny, the last time a MEME went around I was scared of it.   But this time I chose to do it, and it has been fun.   If anyone else would like to be done, I'm still willing.   Its been fun to evaluate how I think of a person, and uplift them.       And wish somehow that my words could have been stronger....Yes lana I will do yours, I want to do it when theirs quiet so it actually makes sense.  *snicker*  


    I'm considering doing a couple for friends who didn't ask...just so they know how much they *do* mean to me. 


    Life is moving on.  Its amazing what three nights of reasonably good sleep, and feeling somewhat healthy does for perspective.    Jeremiah actually had a 4 HOUR lump sum of sleep last night.  Cheers ecstatically.  My laundry is essentially caught up, my house clean.   It must be time for something to go wrong...*sniggers*


    The court case that Rob was supposed to testify in has been put off indefinitely.   So, he has to go to work after all.  


    The weather outside is inclement.  Not sunny, not raining...could go either way.  In the meantime, I kicked my kids out into it.  I'm so mean.  LOL


    Jeremiah's binky is currently locked inside the main sanctuary at church.  *growls*  AS we're currently without a pastor its rather hard to get into the church.  More growls.   My sister has a key...which she can't currently find.   We bought a new one.  LOL   We wanted the old one because of the binky holder with it.    Its wonderful.  Of course it doesn't sound like it as we left it behind.       We actually left it behind because it was still attatched to his shirt, which I tucked into the diaper bag so we wouldn't forget it.   The theory was great, except I gave Rob the diaper bag to be responsible for.....   


    My sister has been unpacking boxes from six years ago (her last move)   She found pictures of me, and scanned them for me.   This one just disgusts me!


    The reason?  I look so good.  And I thought myself so fat.  *sigh*  Teenagers are idiots just so ya know.     My mom even told me I had to diet.   Of course back then...I didn't know my mom could be wrong about things.      Moms can be wrong.   *sigh*    Stares at skinny picture....and hmmms' a lot


                                 


    Perspective is a fascinating thing.  I believe I've said that before recently.....

  • You look adorable and I remember too feeling that I was too fat and I wasn't... When I look at pictures of me when I was 14, 15 and 16 I realize I was just fine and looked great, but little comments here and there like, "Those jeans make your butt look big" and "have you gained weight? those slacks look tight", however innocently made, do bury themselves deeply into a teen's psyche. *hugs*

  • I know my sister heard she had a weight problem her entire life, and then it became an issue.  I often wonder how much of it was due to hearing she did.  Looking back at the pictures I don't think she was particularly overweight.  No, she didn't have the twiggy thin body, but she looked healthy.  Luckily she now has tackled the weight problems, and focuses on eating healthy, and living a healthy life.  It is just amazing how much wiser we are when we look at our past selves.
