Good evening
Busy weekend…as you may have guessed from my lack of blogs.
Rob didn’t get to relax quite as much today but yesterday he quite enjoyed himself. He got to chain saw, swim and bike ride. He informs me these are he-man jobs. *snicker*
Friday night on date we went for a lovely drive up into the mountains. I have several beautiful pictures of the view. If I had been up to a wee hike we could have seen the Hood Canal from where we were at. But we opted out. It was still worth the drive.
This is looking into the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The Alpine Meadows were so beautiful. And the wild flowers were sprouting up everywhere.
This is looking into the Olympics in the other direction.
And the top of the hill we usually walk, but passed this time.
And a view of the top of the hill from another angle.
Its was a fun drive and nice to get a bit of a break.

My brother & sister in law got in a bad accident this morning. They came out bruised, but ok. I’m extremely greatful. Their car is totaled…..but in many ways thats actually a blessing….The car had 165,000 miles on it.
Of course my niece announcing as the paramedics were arriving. “Well dad, you were saying you should just wreck the car.” Probably wasn’t good timing….. *snicker*

Fathers day was fun. We all played in our by my parents pool. And enjoyed the hot weather we’re continuing to have. The worst was finding a place for me to be comfortable. I finally moved to my parents hammock for awhile. It was a bad day contraction wise.
Sun continues to shine. But we *may* skip the lake tomorrow. My kids are getting over stimulated and are OOOOORNEY.
But then again if they stay home they’ll just get hot and whiney. so we’ll see.

Found out this week that a couples marriage is discenerating. He’s to put it mildly been a jerk. She now has a restraining order on him. She needs it. They have five kids.
She’s started coming to church again now that her husband is no longer forbidding it. I felt all so rather helpless as to what to say….
And so greatful for my husband. DH has suggested I circumvent her and ask her mom if she needs any help.
She has no education, no money, and oy life just got hard. Fortunately she has a strong family, and a brother who hid her for awhile. Her parents were too obvious of a choice.
How can some men be so awesome…and some such jerks. I know its a rhetorical question.

Well the shade is calling my name….have a great evening.
