DH made it home after all. And sent me to bed. And then kicked me out of the house when I woke up.
I’m just a spoiled princess.

I wasn’t gone long. Just long enough to get salt and flour. A quick buzz into Goodwill, where I found a Tweety bird costume for Rainee (she can use it as pj’s very soft). And then to another Thrift store where I found two pairs of rubber boots for $2.00
Its warmed up considerably. And my house is gasp actually hot. The roads are nasty. Slush, and rain, and ice such a loverly combination. The kids are supposed to go to Awana tonight. Rather amazed it wasn’t cancelled. I’m cancelling it at this house. As much as it upsets Zeria. 15 passenger vans just don’t do well in these kind of conditions. Not counting the bald tire thingy. All in all, one more day stuck at home suits me just fine.
Rainee has “itchy” skin today. And is rather resenting clothes. She’s taken them off twice. Gets cold has me dress her, and then takes them off……..

Her diaper rash got ahead of us again due to not being able to find the only creme that works…it had walked off. So she’s resenting the diapy too. *giggles* Oh and the snotty nose she has. I’ll say “You have a dirty nose…and she’ll pick up my shirt and wipe it with it!” EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Our dog has begun to bite. *sigh* She is so good with my kids. But when I got her they told me she’d be small…she’s not. Shes a large lab/rotweiler cross instead. And that big of a dog can NOT be allowed to bite. We’re trying to break her, but if she breaks skin once she will have to go. I can’t risk my kids.
We’ve had such a bad run on dogs lately. I’m a dog person. I competed in dog obedience, I’ve raised Guide Dog puppies, but oh my am I bombing in picking out a good dog recently…….
So, we’ve decided we’re on the look for a “truely” small dog like we tried for last time. Nothing done in a rush, just looking. That way if Sweetie continues her pattern, the kids won’t be quite so heart broken if she has to go……
The problem is I suppose is I always get dogs from the humane society. Their is such a risk involved in this, but I’ve also had some life-long lovely companions from their. If only we could figure out how to nip this biting thing. (pun sort-of-intended)
And yup their goes another diapy. I guess she’ll just run nekky.

My family adopted a Lab/Rot mix. Tonia — take the pup to dog lessons and get her to understand who is boss. They are slabheads and like to rule their humans. Otherwise they are extremely loving, affectionate animals. The other thing — a dog that size goes outside on a long lead. But they need constant attention and love to remain good animals. Yak with my Mom — she might know know more. My dad and Oscar totally bonded after I went back to college. Our German Shepherd and I were more bondmates than I was with Oscar.
But DO consider taking the pup to doggie lessons. Your kids are first, but it’s really important to teach them that their dog is a family member too, though a subordinate. *hugs*
I do hope you’re able to prevent the biting. That’s a tough one though. I don’t know what I’d do without my poochie as he *is* my baby!
i hope that this is a wonderful evening for you!
We don’t have dog biting problems…just dogs licking problems. LOL Mine thing everyone wants to be loved constantly.
Not always pleasant, but at least not painful. hehehe Reggie is also very protective but so far hasn’t done any more than bark and try to sound scarey. lol
