Month: December 2003

  • Good afternoon.

So, I did my grocery-shopping, and theory is I won't have to go back to town 'til after Christmas.

Oh and happy dance!  I asked someone at SAfeway and they found perogys for me.  (big grin)

Had to go to two Safeway's though to get the Chinesse barbequed pork I wanted for dinner tomorrow night.  Christmas eve at my moms is cold-cuts/finger foods.  And though the pork is spendy its a fun treat.   Also splurged and got little smokeys.

My sister made up a batch of fudge for me, and now it really feels like Christmas.

Bought the last of hubby's stocking stuffers, and Katie (my youngest niece's) present showed up today from Amazon, so we're all set....well except I still have to wrap a couple pressies.

Trying to do the handprints in cement for grandma Signor's very late birthday.  So currently my kitchen is rather covered in ready-mix.  *snort*   We promised these to her, but she didn't want us to mail them, and we didn't want to mail them as it would be very $$$ so now she's gonna be here tomorrow and we never did them LOL..........so two down 3 to go.  Doing them in stages.  Think I'm gonna let the two I did set to make sure I did it right.

What we're doing is we bought big plastic garden water catcher thingys and putting cement in them.  Then the kids hand prints and decorated with marbles.   These will make great stepping stones, and cute memorbilia of the kiddos.

Bought some more mandorin oranges.  (probably the last 'til next year)  Rainee keeps bringing them to me to opie opie opie.   I'm so looking forward to changing that diaper.  :-X

Had fun making a siggie last night for Glory.    I fussed and fussed with it LOL, and then all of a sudden it was what I'd been trying to accomplish for a long time.   Was wishing once again to use my Christmas present LOL.   Have a suspicion all my charries will be getting siggy overhauls when I install it.....

Bought myself another chair for the living room today.  It *gasp* matches the second-hand furniture I already own.  Only $35 and quite comfy.  We were rather needing another one anyhow, so was quite pleased to add it.   My furniture I have these days is very 70ish.    But capable of surviving my kids, and thats the truely important issue.  *giggles*

  • bwahahahahahahahahahaha

    Oh I'm gonna hurt tomorrow.

My kids had their Christmas Sunday School program tonight.  And oh my hysterical.    Typical angels, wisemen, shepherds, and animals.

Yup.  animals.  The littlest 2s and 3s, plus some of the 4s and 5s were animals.  And well they were rowdy.

The high lights.  Several of them eating straw.  Feeding the straw to their Sunday School teacher (wether she wanted it or not.)  Oh yes, and my favorite?   When Kaylin and Mari tried to climb over teacher's back and somehow managed to knock her over

This would be the mari bunny.  Isn't he cute??  Sweet angel...his poor teacher btw deserves some kind of medal for surviving.  She's NOT young over 70 and on her hands and knees with 10 little animals crawling on her.  ROFL!

My nephew (3.5) decided that something on the floor below the stage was quite fascinating.  So he hung his head over and checked it out for a good long time.  We were all wondering what it was.....

Oh yes, and Mari as he crawled onto stage (animals being required to crawl)  MOONED the whole audience.  Well that is if black kids moon....but you get the idea.  snigger.

I apologize for the quality of this picture.   I used the zoom and the stage was dark.  But I just had to share.  This is Samuel who is so NOT an angel.  They apparently didn't type cast.  Apparently he was tired....so the sky was holding him up.  *giggles*

He btw had a lovely time sticking his tongue out of his mouth and causing it to dance, yes dance to the last song.  I guess you had to see it to understand.

And then their was the dancing angel.  Zeria got down jiggy with it in the last song.  Problem?  She was the only one...yup she's black she's got the moves.  ROFL....I found out later EVERYBODY Was supposed to dance...but she was apparently the only one who remembered.

This picture is also a bit poor.  But thats one of the animals, who got tired of being an animal and removed her mask.  She's my niece a couple months older then Rainee.  So she decided to go visit the angels.  The animals pretty much did whatever they want on stage......And left us absolute hysterical!

Christmas has officially started when I've seen the Sunday school program.  The music was actually good in spite of the laughs.  (This isn't always the case)  ROFL   And my two teen-age brothers did a beautiful duet...still wondering who twisted their arm and how hard.  snigger.   And one of my teen-age sisters did a duet which was also gorgeous.

Kaylin...oh yes we forgot to discuss my pea-brain.   She had to go potty.  IN the middle of the performance.  NOt once but twice.

So she got off stage and announced it to mommy, much to the hysterics of all sitting near us.  And we ran down the aisle of the church and made it to the bathroom.  If this wasn't bad enough...she did it again 15 minutes later.  SNIGGERing madly

Here's the lovely animals crawling up the middle of the church aisle.  *giggles*  Poor SS teacher did it too.....oh her poor knees!

I'm thrilled xanga has let me upload so many pictures.    I have one more to share although their were several other note-worthy ones.  LOL  I could uploaded the one of my nephew eating hay....snigger or checking out underneath the stage.  *giggles*  But not sure if my sis wants his face on the web.  So we'll stop with this group shot of all the pretty kids singing about Jesus

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

  • Walmart trip was worse then the painting.....

I cheated and bought spray paint...cheaper too LOL

    And wooooooooooooooooo

    I'm high now.

Please forgive all typos and so on at dragon tonight.  ROFL  I was under the influence.  snigger

  • so very very quiet online today.

    So, I slept.  *snigger*

My sis who worked for me this summer came home from college broke.  This is good for me.  LOL  She'll be working for us most of the break.  What a lovely Christmas present.  We don't have to pay her 'til the first either which helps as that's when our adoption respite will come.

So last night Samuel dumped a bag of marbles down the toilet.  GROWL.   The plan HAD been for Rob to finish Rainee's room today and tomorrow.  Instead he spent most of the day completely taking a part the toilet and putting it back together.

    I love my son.

Tomorrow we have a birthday party at the swimming pool for my 13 year old sis.   and Sunday we have the SS Christmas program and a birthday party for my niece.  It will be a busy weekend.

But sis will be working tomorrow, so that will help.

My 'ils ARE coming up for Christmas.  They will be here noon Christmas eve.....nothing like cutting it close.  And DH has taken Christmas eve and Christmas Day off, so we will have a 5 day weekend to 'play' with the 'ils and bil.

Sooooooooooooooooooo greatful my sister is able to work and help me clean!!!!!!!!!   Today she did a deep clean of the kitchen.  Wash down cupboards, etc.  It looks so loverly.  Tomorrow the bathroom.  Woo HOO

Contemplating splurging on a $10 can of paint to repaint the bathroom floor, its the only part of my house that I just really cringe at, and it would only take me about 20 minutes to fix it.....

Well that and a wretched 45 minute trip to Walmart to get said paint....

Other then that house is quiet.   And life moves on.

  •

Do you know why parents of more then two kids never get family shots?  I do...

I took umm 15 shots of my kids tonight.  And not a single one of them has five smiling kids looking at me.  I could entertain you with the screaming Rainee pose.  The free-view-of-Kaylins undies pose....the Sam checking out what's underneath him pose, the Rainee I'm filling my pants leave me alone pose.  The list goes on.  *snigger*

I tried.  Gonna try again tomorrow.  All those fancy dudes on again.  But.  Big but...this time daddys gonna help.  BWAHAHAHAHA

    Must have perfect Christmas pose.

  • I'm alive.  *grin*  My house is a bit cleaner thanks to my dh being more alive then I am.  And now their all watching Rugrats.

I've used up my alive time.  And am gonna go crawl back in a hole for awhile.  Good news is I'm actually somewhat hungry today....

  • eeeeeeeep

    I got a enforced break.

My kids, whom I love so dearly shared with me.  Wasn't that nice of them???

I spent from 9:30 Friday pm to 6:30 Saturday pm loosing full contents of my stomache.   I've spent today *ahem* running.   I've had a fever the whole time.

Rob got a very mild case of the same thing.  Fortunately.   My mom had to come get our kids yesterday 'cause neither of us were standing up.    Thank you God for moms.

I've eaten exactly one piece of toast, and 1/4 of a bowl of chicken noodle soup, and 1 1/5 cans of diet Dew in the last 48 hours.    And food is just really darn ICKY!

Rob will be taking tomorrow off 'cause even if I am magically fixed tomorrow I'm so stinking shaky its not even funny.   Mari has a fever.  He's probably getting it next.

The good news...is isn't happening Christmas weekend right?  She says desperately trying to be positive.

I'm lurking.   I'm posting at Bereleth, and Whispin...but that may be it for a day or two or three.  If I sit upright for more then a half hour I umm wish to puke.  TMI?  Sorry...its reality.  ROFL

  • BLEEEP!  BLURBLE.  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Thanks,  I've been wanting to get that out of my system all day.

I'm a fixer.  I thought I'd cured myself of that terrible disease.   But the last couple weeks I've started slinking back into it.    I see hurt and I want to take it away.   I want to force a person to take the option I'm giving them.  Even if its the all fired wrong option.

I'm hoping I've gained a bit of tact in my attempts at meddling.  But even so I need to just stop fixing unless someone specifically asks for it.

Bangs head soundly on computer.  I will keep my mouth shut.  I will.

So, most of you are wondering what I'm talking about.   Its okay so am I most days.

To those whom I've given unsolicited advice in the last couple days.  Please feel free to bang my head with a 2x4.  I myself know how obnoxious I was beginning to get.

I think its time for *me* to take a little web break.  I've done so good for so long in staying balanced.  But the last couple weeks I've slid bad.   You know its bad when you've hit refresh on the same board 6x and you KNOW nobody's lurking, so why you would think anythings gonna show up is completely beyond me.   Today I *gasp* actually turned it off.  Several times.  I'm determined to do that more often.

And I'm aiming to go back to only slipping on for a few minutes on weekends like I did for ever so long.     Its necessary to find balance.   And my balance has been screwed up.

When you find yourself worrying over your internet relationships more then your family.  Its time to take a little bitty step back.   And the last couple days thats where I finally got to.  So, don't freak I'm an addict.   *giggles*    I'll still be around, but just not hitting refresh quite so often...(I hope)

Tomorrow morning.  I'm going to go out for breakfast all on my own.  And then I'm going to go get my hair cut.  Its all getting rather shaggy.   My lovely DH will be busy taking my kids Christmas shopping for their mommy.   hehehe

Hey, I might even be so bold as to NOT sign on before I leave...but probably not.  *snigger*  I after all spend the first 30 minutes of my morning nursing a child.  And I may as well be staring at something while I'm doing so.....

Anyhow prayers to those I'm worried about.   And I'll crawl back into my corner and stop interfering.....

  • *yawn*

    Good morning.

Did you know that I no longer say good night to my IM's?  Nope I don't.  'Cause my server seems to know that it must be too late for me to chat so it disconnects me and won't let me back on.  *snort*  Stupid server.   So, that explains where I disappeared to (again)  I'm not rude honest, my server is.

Kaylin slept with me last night.   Okay the word slept would be a relative turn.  Kaylin tossed, kicked, wiggled, squirmed, and took frequent drinks of water.   Mommy quite possibly has bruises.  *snigger*     She threw up again last night into her dinner.  (GROSE GROSE GROSE)  So didn't go to Cubbies (obviously)    Instead the lady whose children I usually take took mine.

It was all rather a comedy routine.  Cause they pulled up into my driveway on the return drive and their car died....it was out of gas.  So I went up to the shed and was quite pleased when I found we HAD gas.  *snigger*   We put gas in her truck, and I said goodbye.  A couple minutes later her daughter comes in and says..."Mom can't find the keys.  We might be a bit more."  I was groaning 'cause how was I gonna get them home with 3 sleeping babies.   A couple minutes later the car started up.  I'm not the only one who does stupid things.  *snigger*   Oh and she's the insane mommy to four kids.   So it must be contagious.

I'm now up to four Christmas cards.  And feeling slightly guilty 'cause I haven't touched mine yet.  LOL   I got a really cute one from my cousin who was down here visiting early this summer.  She's a sweet girl who just may be in love.  I hope so, she deserves to be.  She did hours upon hours of babysitting for me when she was here just 'cause she loves my kids.  And her card talked all about missing them.     We actually seriously contemplated helping her move down here at one point and moving her in....but it appears her beau might have other things in mind.  *giggles*    My cousin btw is adopted.  She was abused/neglected/and made to live a closet for days and weeks at a time.   It is amazing how well she turned out and how much God has helped her recover from that.   The reason for this abuse?  She was a twin, and the mommy didn't want twins.  The mommy just wanted her older daughter.  #$@*#$@#&@*(

So, I have a question.  Do people who hang together on the net get their cycles together too?????  *snigger*     It could be a new scientific study.  Its apparent that people who hang together online pass along bugs.  As now Kayte's kids are sick.   And she was chatting with me while I was cleaning up kids a couple days ago.

Oh does everybody need a really good laugh?   Last night I looked at my son just before Awana and realized his pants were on inside out.   Daddy's been doing laundry this week, and apparently didn't find it necessary to right-side-out stuff before folding it.  And HD didn't find it necessary to wear the right-side-out.  So, I told him to go get clean clothes on for Awana.  He did.   I looked from a distance, but was rather side-tracked due to a sick kid, and a couple IM's going.  *snigger*   (priorities you know).

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO last night at nine o'clock he gets home and I took a bit closer look and was absolutely horrified.  His pants were on inside-out and backwards.  He was in public that way for hours.   (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!  some responsible mom I am!)   I'm really looking forward to explaining that to my friends who were at Awana last night.  *snigger*
