  • the well made plans of mice and men....

You know back at Christmas time we decided we didn't need a second car.  It had been sitting in our yard for MONTHS without using it.  We were paying insurance on it, and so on, and it just seemed stupid.  So we made a choice as a family to sale it for very small peanuts.  At the time we were thrilled because it sold the first day we put it up, and it dug us out of a hole, and enabled us to have Christmas with Rob's parents.

Now, it seems like not such a good idea.  LOL  Cause quite frankly this not having a car thing is a PAIN in the but.

We still don't have our car.  It was supposed to be done Friday, but the parts didn't show.  The parts still apparently haven't showed.  And now my mom needs her car back.  Rob has to go west for forty-five minutes (the true end of the road) and pick up my sister, her baby, and her boyfriend, and then east for two-and a half hours to return my moms car.

And then he has to take buses to get back home.   And there are no buses that come straight here.  He will be gone most of the day.  Kaylin desperately needs her blood work done, as we know she's low, and she's on her last pill that the Dr will prescribe without more bloodwork.  So she's going to have to tag along on all the buses, and cars, and things that go.

The whole thing is exasperating.  NEvermind that I'm supposed to be coaching baton today, and have no way to get there or back.  There are no buses that will do that.  And I'm supposed to go to Olympia on the 18th.  And I'm probably going to have to cancel.

And life is just irritating this morning.

  • There are only 2 of us out here in the boondocks that aren't nearly as far away from everything as you are and I can't imagine being without 2 vehicles.
