car issues
We've had a occasional weird noise in the excursion for several months. Two weeks ago Rob took it to the mechanic, but as weird noises go, it went, and disappeared.
It came back on the trip, and by the time we were home it was quite bad. So back to the shop today, and OUCH!
Its gonna be expensive. Its going to take a week to get the parts. And I mentioned we are a one car family and we live a LONG way from the grocery store.
The good news is we did make it home and we aren't stranded somewhere for several weeks.
The bad news is we had baton tomorrow. And my sis' grad on Saturday. *growl* So I'm not sure what we're going to be doing.

Hmm! You sound like me at the moment! Rats! Only we WERE stranded! But, THANKFULLY in a GOOD place! Only a few miles from home and my one friend rescued us. ;) God was GOOD...IS GOOD! ;)
Can you rent a car? Or beg mom for one since brittany isn't driving? Did the mechanic tell you what the 'noise' was?
@KarlaandSuperMedic - I just got off the car with mom. Rob will catch a ride into town after work tomorrow morning, and pick up moms navigator. Joel is borrowing the Tracker, but she can go get it from the fire hall if she needs something, and Stan and Virginia will be in town all of next week if she needs something. So we won't be carless after all. Which makes me VERY happy. Rob even offered to rent a car. But the bill is going to be about $1,500. Since we have 148 in our checking account until pay day yeah renting a car isn't a option. And its the deliniator (sp?) It has something to do with the four wheel drive.
You got off the car! LOL That's awesome! I thought I was the only one who typed what i was thinking about. You know like when you are writing a check and you write down the word you just heard from the closest person talking to you. Well I'm glad your not carless! Why doesn't joel have a car? I'm very confused but he hasn't txted me in about a week.
@KarlaandSuperMedic - Someone ran into Joel's car and totalled it when it was parked. He wasn't even in it at the time. Joel has very very very very very very very bad luck with cars. LOL
