  • Phew we're back.

The meet was run a bit week.  And it was a long long day.

In the end of the day the placements came out like this.

Zeria placed first in Military March, and second in Presentation (her short solo)  Zeria passed her twirling compulsories

Samuel placed third in basic march, second in his novice solo, and second in his state solo.  The state solo none of us could figure out why he didn't get first--including the "grandma-mom" of the first place winner.  He did the best solo he's done up to date.  Straight arms, only one drop, and just very very good.    Sam passed his movement compulsories.

Kaylin placed third in her solo against some very stiff competition.

Jamari placed first in his boys state solo, (against one other competitor snicker) second in basic march, and first Presentation (his short solo)

Rainee placed first in her solo, second in basic march, second in her short solo.

And yeah I had to look at my notes for that.  *snicker*  At least I've learned to keep my notes.

Of all the wins Rainee's was the most exciting.  And Kaylin's was the biggest relief.  She competed all day and didn't place, and was getting very very frustrated as she watched all of her siblings bring in rewards.  So when she got third in her solo against  HARD competition (unlike Jamari's state solo which was a foregone conclusion before the day started)  we were very happy.

Rob's parents were there at the competition, and got equally tired, but seemed to have fun.  I have pictures I'll share later.
