Month: February 2009

  • Good morning.  The last two days just buzzed by.  Monday I went and got my wayward kids from Grandma's.  And yesterday they spent the day recovering.  Sam succomed to the bug the little girls came home with, and Zeria just lay on the  coach looking half dead all day.  This morning they look much better...and are already spatting so they must be healed.

The last time I was at Good Will about 2 weeks ago I picked up myself a wee project.  I started working on it Thursday, and then ran out of the color of yarn I started with.  So Monday I picked up one more skien, and yesterday with all the sick kids I was able to whip this up.

She's the cutest little doll.  I *was* going to try to sell it for $10 at the local consignment shop--not to get rich, just to make a couple nickels.  But Kaylin fell in love with her, and offered to trade me work for her.  I like willing slaves.  *snicker*

Oh and the bright colors she's sitting on is my baby blanket for my sister who is due in March.  Its a bit bigger project but I'm sure I'll be working on it today.  Although I also have a wee porcelein baby  I bought that I was dressing last night, so we shall see which wins.  The dresses require more thinking.  The blanket is just crochet, crochet, crochet.  So it depends on my mood which I work on.

I had to cancel baton yesterday as Samuel was throwing up at 11 am.   So that was a bit of a bummer.  But the lazy day at home was kind of nice too.

Our local rummage store is open after a month sabattical.  *cheers*  I scored a Nintendo 64 with 2 paddles for $2.00.  We have one that works, but the paddles were busted.  The paddles to replace are quite expensive even if its a very old game.  So I was thrilled...although I'm not sure my hubby is as the kids are already fighting over whose turn it is.  *snicker*

If I were an Ebayer I'd be tempted to sale it...I know how much their going for.  But we don't use the new Nintendo games, as I *hate* *hate* *hate* the way the disc's scratch up...and be come unusable.
