  • Vote one more time please

I'm getting tunnel vision picking a picture.  ROFL

Three are clear, and I very much appreciated the votes.

I will be choosing the starfish, the leaf picture, and the second digital altered picture.

The fourth one is just really not jumping out at me.  So I went back and looked through a years worth of pictures again.

And I'm thinking on these three...

  • Votes Please

Its that time of year, when I pick four pictures for the fair.  I have learned much in what the judges like...keeping in mind of course that judges are very...subjective.

Anyhow I'd love your votes as to which are your favorite two period.  And which is your favorite in each catagory.

This is for digitally altered.  Do you like number one or two better.

I have the option of putting one in open...I may actually enter the plant one there instead actually.  But if something that's in the multiple gets extra votes I could opt to keep the plant one in plant, and place that in open.  (It makes sense in my mind even if that didn't make sense written out)  All votes appreciated.

    TIA

  • tired of this subject yet? Baton

    Ugh!

Up again, Down again.  Just UGh!

I'm just bleblelble trying to figure out the baton stuff.

The chief frustrating mom at baton called wanting to make sure I wasn't leaving the team because of her, because they really want us.

    Argle.

I told her it was because of the stress, and that the team needed a LEADER.

And I hate conversations like that big time.

They really, really want my kids to stay on the team.    I don't really want to.  ROFL

    Baton went much better today.

My friend B.  Kept the chief parent problem in another room.  *cackles madly*

    It amuses me greatly actually.

Everytime the chief parent headed into the gym.  She'd say "Leave them alone there doing just fine without you."

    *snickers*

We had a coach come up from Olympia and work with the kids a bit, and evaluate where the kids are at, and see if she couldn't come up with a game plan for the team.

There was a meeting afterwards, but I chose not to go due to having 6 kids with me, and very little tolerance for meetings.  My friend B will tell me what happened tomorrow.

I also received the ladies card and discussed the possibility of some private lessons.  I went to her web site and she has a baton camp coming up a couple weeks.  I have no idea if its full or not.  But its very tempting to let at least one of the kids go learn there.  Also a bit $$ LOL  But scheming a bit regardless.

Other then that just tired from a day of twirling.  Samuel informed me my twirling got a B+ and if I kept working hard next week I'd get an A.  *Snickers*

  • Joyce Daze Costumes

I took about 25 pictures of the kids in their parade costumes just wanting one semi-decent picture of all 6 of them.  Jeremiah was crying cause he didn't want to stand where I said.  And Kaylin was mad/sad cause she didn't want to make a "tough" pose.

Needless to say it was a joy to take pictures of them.  (sarcasm here)

Usually they love to ham it up.  But apparently not Saturday.

And usually its Samuel who doesn't want to cooperate, but he happens to LOVE this particular costume.  *snicker*

Anyhow of all 25...this ones the best.

    100_4056

Yeah that's how much I lowered my standards.    Ahh well.  It makes for good fodor for scrapbooking.

I did LOVE this shot however.

And this one would be a good example as to why the top one is the best.  *snicker*

  • Last Parade of the Year

We participated in our last parade of the season.

It was very warm.  And they wanted us there way early for reasons I didn't get as its actually a smallish parade.

Needless to say it was a long day.  And the kids were just exhausted by the time we got done.

There torn about parades.  They LOVE to be in them, but there always bummed because they don't get to "see" them.  This one was harder as its in our old home town of Joyce.  And they wanted to see there friends.  So we had a teensy melt down at the end because of heat and hunger.  After they had water bottles and food they were much better.

Oh and they slept the hour fifteen drive home not at our request.  Apparently we wore them out.  ROFL

Tomorrow Zeria and Kaylin are headed off to camp.  Zeria is a returnee and Kaylin is going for the first time.  Samuel has chosen not to go...which is fine with us, as due to some of his umm behavorial issues we weren't totally thrilled about him going anyhow.  So it was a mutually good decision.

Rob had a good hike yesterday, and even spotted this little fellow on his 18 mile jaunt.

    100_4029

You have no idea how much I envy him hiking here.  I want to be able to do it so badly.  My body hates the elevation.  And I get instant and extreme asthma.  I've made it four miles up there twice in my 20's.  The second time I was sooooo sick at the top.  Elevation sickness/asthma something.  And that was just the stupid beginning of the hike, and I was in decent shape, hiking every weekend.  Of course back then I didn't have asthma meds, but now I have more back pain.

The only way I could ever do it would be to train and work out almost daily.  I...just don't know if I have that stamina in me to attain this goal.

    100_4036

But I've dreamed of hiking here since I was in the fifth grade.

I guess its time to think.
