Phew.
Its been a busy week this week, and the fun just keeps a going.
Tuesday and Wednesday are naturally busy, and on top of that Rob had the privledge of carrying the torch for the Special Olympics.
We brought him there and waited and waited, but we had to go to baton and missed it. So I handed my camera to the other wife there and she did it. The DOC employees were responsible for 18 miles. Rob ran six or so of them.
The torch is HEAVY!
The torch run is done by law enforcement agencys. The sheriff's department was spear-heading this leg of it. I said something about Rob being a runner naturally. And the sheriff said. "Those are words DOC employees never want to hear." Everybody laughed about that, and thus the title for the scrapbook page.
They ran to the county line, and were met by the next county's team, along with several competitors of the special olympics. It is a program I believe strongly in and we were both delighted that he could participate.
Yesterday was ALSO Sam's birthday. He's a double digit boy! TEN. Woot. He had a royal blast with five of his buddies this afternoon. They ran around playing kick-the-can, hide and seek, etc. And then were let for free time which most was spent sword fighting. Indiana Jones being a favorite game of all of them.
