Anniversary
Today I have been married 9 years.
Its been a wild ride! After all we aquired 6 in 6 of those years. *snicker*
But one thing I do know. I love being married.
At the parade on Saturday I sat with my mom and a childhood friend. I hadn't seen the friend in about five years. We spent the whole parade chatting. She is somewhat recently divorced. It wasn't comfy sitting between two man haters.
I finally had to say. "I like being married, it has been good to me." I felt ashamed when I said it. It wasn't a good feeling.
It is something I'm proud of, and something I fought for.
Which is ironic considering we have below ZERO plans to celebrate said anniversary.
We haven't had any form of a baby sitter since last October.
We had almost relaxed and decided we would ask my mom, when she had another set of trauma's with her teens. And besides that its a two hour drive one way to get there.
So we will give each other hugs, and laugh at the fact, and move on.
Next year for ten. We are already planning. We are hoping his parents will come here, and we are flying to sun, and surf. We love surf. LOL We just can't seem to go somewhere without it.
So anyhow all this to say.
I love you Rob!

Happy Anniversary young lady. *hugs*
Hooray for you and Rob! Hang in there. Do you realize that if you get to the years Wil and I have you will be one of the elite minority. We will have 46 yrs. in Aug. Not always smooth sailing but perserverence and tenacity pay off in the long run. You gotta win over all odds to make it through the kids growing up and leaving and then if you are very very blessed you will have time alone together. One hard and fast rule.....don't live in a house with more than one bedroom so the kids can't come home!!!! lol
Happy Anniversary to you and Rob and enjoy the beautiful sunsets you have.
Happy Anniversary! I have such fond memories of that day 9 years ago. And of the whole visit in general. Remember how I prayed for you with the family craziness surrounding that day? I have continued over the years to pray along those lines.
We have rarely actually done something ON our anniversary. Usually just a meal out at some point within a week or two of the date. Our 10th and 11th anniversary were celebrated "in style" (trip to Nova Scotia, a "work" trip to Denver).
I will be praying that at some point today you will be able to snuggle together and relax and be glad again for how God brought you together and how he has kept you together with joy.
Happy Anniversary my friends!
Awww!! Happy Anniversary you guys!! Our first ten years were the most uphill, but doing the hard work has made the next decade and a half SWEET!!!
Isn't it wonderful to be married to your best friend?! Have a blessed day, however you choose to celebrate it!
Awww! Happy anniversary!!
David and I do vacations for our anniversaries (helps to not have children lol!) and we swap year to year. It's my year so we're going to Jamaica. Next year is his so we're going to Ireland with a couple days in London. It cracks me up how very different our choices are but how excited we both are.
I hope you have a wonderful, beautiful day with your husband.
Happy Annversary!
Happy Anniversary! Suz
Happy Anniversary!!!
congratulations - happy anniversary - wishing you many, many more!
we've been married over 27-yrs - each year, we get a gift together, something we could use as a couple or family - one year it was bicycles, another time it was furniture - we did this instead of getting each other a separate gift, mainly 'cuz when we were first married we didn't have much money and this was one way to pool our money and get something we could both enjoy - we get the gifts later and later each year (our anniv is in january) but better late than never - and it seems to have worked!
see now you could drive over here and your kids could stay here for the night with our kids and then you could have a night all to yourselves. The pool is open at the winthrop KOA!
Happy Anniversary! I love being married too... I think it has a lot to do with the wonderful men we're married to.
