Prayers
In a very recent upset we have learned that my dad's sentencing is this Friday. Its funny how you wait and wait for something and then when it comes it knocks you flat...
My kids are devastated. The intense quality time they've had with grandpa in the last months has been precious, and they rather enjoy being spoiled. My dad rather then calling met us alongside the road in no-man's land and told me there. So I had hysterically crying kids for the last 35 minutes of our drive home. I offered to pull over and just let them cry while I comforted, but we all just wanted to get home. We had after all been in town since 9:30 and it was 6:30 at night.
God's sense of timing ya know.
There's a good posibility his sentence will "just" involve intense counselling, etc. But there's also a good chance he will be doing a lot of jail time.
So limbo.
The next couple days are going to be extremely hard on all of us. Prayers are appreciated for every member of my extended family.
On a different note. The new digital nuts were released to challenge us. So I buried my head into that. And have this to share.
I was quite happy with the way it turned out. And am enjoying any distraction from the current stress! Below the "good" one is the original picture that we started with just to show you where it came from.

And you know, you have such a gift for art and photography. It would be neat if you could do an exhibit somehow, somewhere.
I liked both pictures. I can't believe he chose to tell you at a time when the children were with you. Would that be a drama type thing? Children have enough to deal with without adults adding to it. Children are supposed to be children not bear adult burdens. Sorry, just hit me the wrong way...him doing that to them. Of course prayers and blessings to all your family....even your dad. Keep us informed as to how things are going. Mainly, protect your children and be sure they know that this is an adult matter and that you and Dad will deal with it. They don't have to worry about anything but lessons and obeying mom and dad and being a kid. I know I'm preaching but I feel so strongly about it.

OH dear.. I've been out of the loop too long. I have no idea what's going on. Whatever is going on, I'll be praying intensely for your family. I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry for all the stress you're under right. I hope it all works out in God's will. The picture was neat, and I'm glad you have something to distract yourself with.
Hugs and prayers to you and your family. Tomorrow is a new day. My favorite says is ' this too shall pass'. and One day at a time Sweet Jesus. The good Lord is watching over you and your famiy and your dad too. I guess what doesn't kill us will make us stronger people. So sorry that your kids had to hear about it that way. Just remember you are a good mother and with daddy, too, they will get through this. Children seem to be stronger than what we give them credit for. Love and hugs to you all.
