My new desk
So this is my valentines day gift. It still desperately needs to be sanded and stained. I bought the stain, but have no desire to do the sanding until we are all done hacking the last thing we need is more dust flying.
Rob did all of it including the scrapbook paper holder. I found a magazine rack on ebay that was half the size, but of a similar design and he stared at the pictures quite awhile and built it. It has all turned out so nicely. I have room to work--aka see the pictures laid out, room for my scrapbook to lay open for the finished jobies, room to leave scrap papers I'm in process with, and stickers I'm in process with, as well as store all my ribbons, stamps, templates, etc, etc. Scrapbooking aquires quite a bit of junk ya know. *snicker* And this is a 9 year collection of scrapbook stuff after all. The plastic box under the desk is going I just haven't made it do so yet. The exercise ball will stay under there its a good place for it as my kids can't use it and break it. Its *mine* LOL
The desk extends a teeny tiny bit to the left of the picture, but not much. I can now look out my window and watch my kids play while on the computer. All in all I'm in love.

1st that blog with the beach pictures is so awesome. I have some old pictures I took of the starfish "orgies"
Somewhere I have pictures of snakes on the beach also.
Your computer arrangement is terrific. I am sure it is a great blessing to be on the computer and watch the kids out the window. A fine Valentine's gift if you ask me....

That is very special. And to think, I'm going to get rid of my big desk...why? It's now really a desk that can be worked on once the computer is there. So, one of these day soon I'm going to drag it out to the road and put a FREE sign on it. Or let people at work know it's free and they can come and get it...if I can get it out of the computer room. heheheh
what a nice desk - and it's custom made for you! i'm still waiting on a few woodworking projects from my hubby (magazine rack, coat hanger organizer, to name 2 simple ones) - i know i'm on the list, i just don't know where!
Wow, what a desk..........I want one too. Of course, one that size would never fit in the tiny, tiny basement bedroom I use for an office. Lots of room to spread out any project you are work on. Nice job done by the hubby.

What a nice big work area! It's going to look so very nice when you guys are finished with it. What color of stain are you putting on it?
In the meantime, it works and looking out the window and seeing the kids is a extra bit of joy for you. So you guys are still sick? I feel so much for you, my daughter in law has also been sick...so far the grand kids are ok.
