Yup we got snow.  A little over inch.  Enough to sled on which made the kids ecstatic.  We had to relocate our sleds as we never got to do it last year. And well their kind of dilapatated.  *snicker*

And the first sled down the hill one broke in half.

My kids weren't daunted... It just meant they had 3 sleds now!

Our sledding hill.  Otherwise known as our driveway.  *Snicker*

The starting gate.  Samuel was inside doing his dishes.  Well that's what he was supposed to be doing.  Eventually they got done.   LOL

Zeria and Kaylin sharing a sled.  They went faster this way.

Jamari on his 3/4's of a sled.  He was really flying despite the obvious flaw in the sled.

And Jeremiah who was flying so fast down the hill I absolutely couldn't get a picture of him.  Which is why I included this one.  It showed the speed and cracked me up somehow.

But I really wanted you to see what he was sledding in.  His baby sled.  I.e. the broken quarter.  He was the fastest sled out there.  Even if the sucker didn't look like it should sled.

And the view down at the river.  Rainee and I quaded over here and snagged this.  It was fun to quad in the snow.    Its still cold outside, I haven't read/heard a forecast, so not sure if we'll get more or not.  A wee bit melted off enough for sledding not to be completely viable by late afternoon, my kids would be thrilled with a bit more.  And I have no place to go tomorrow....but as you know God's in charge.

  • Hi Tonia!  My kids went sledding yesterday too!!   I'm sure they'd have a GREAT time together if they were all sledding with each other!  Looks like fun!!!!  :)  WOW!!  DO you live near that river?!  It's beautiful!!!!

Hey, thank you SO MUCH for the advice about how to rotate my pictures!  I'm SO computer clueless and really appreciate the help!!!!!  I played around here Sat. and figured out how to import my pictures and rotate them and all sorts of editing on here!  It was GREAT!!  SO THANKS!!!!  Do you know anything about how to set up a web site?  I make baby quilt sets with a pillowcase etc..  and other sorts, but have no idea HOW to get a site set up???  Any suggestions??  Thanks!  You seem very knowledgeable with computers, so I thought I'd ask you.  ;)   Well, I'm off to shower before the rest of my little troops get up!  Have a great day!!!  :)Kim

  • Yahoo!!!  What a lot of fun.  I just couldn't stop giggling at Jeremiah's sled.  But hey, we used to use shovels because we had heard that they would work.  And they did... until you hit a bump (ouch!).

  • I got the dish and other sliders on sale for 1.00 each at Walmart end of season a couple of years ago.  You might keep an eye out this year.  Looks as if you are going to need something different by next winter.  Must not have been too cold.  Little one in sweatshirt and most with no caps.  If the wind doesn't blow it isn't so bad out here during winter.  We have up to 45 mile an hr. wind here today but not as cold which is a good thing with the wind chill factored in.

  • It's snowing here at this moment, so pretty! I love the photos...and I remember that hill.
