  • Three years ago

Three years ago.  I was up every night many times a night with Rainee Grace.  I checked her oxygen, readadjusted her pulse ox, and got up the next day and homeschooled Zeria, then Sam and Kaylin.

I can't imagine how I survived since I feel like the walking dead.

Last night I was only woke twice.

Of course we dealt with sicko's ALL day yesterday.

But its just amazing what the body adjusts to, and then gives up.

And I'm sooooooooo greatful the foreamentioned lifestyle is behind us!!!!

Rainee is still very punky.  So the tv is babysitting her.  Its what she wanted, and is fine.  She hasn't moved off the chair all day.

Jeremiah is back to normal...with the exception that if his way is crossed he just sobs.  Not in a I'm mad way...in a I'm sick enough to make you miserable, but not sick enough to lay down.    I hate that day of sick.

I called last night and cancelled baton.  I figured if Rainee's temperature was 102 at 6 pm she had no business being drug into town, and attempting to practice today.

Its a good thing cause basketball pulled a whammy in my nicely organized life.  *sigh*  The games start tonight.  The last two years they were at 6 pm, which I knew would just fit into baton.  The only reason I allowed them to do basketball.

But know some wise soul decided they should start at 5:30.  There is absolutely ZERO way I can get Samuel there on time.

And its not fair to his squad of four in baton for him to not be there.  *sigh*

So I can juggle for the next four weeks huh?  This week is fine due to Rainee's illness.  Next week I'm just going to tell his basketball coach no Samuel for the game.  I have to stick to baton its our original commitment.  And the week after that?  Its long enough away I'll come up with something.  I can conceiveably leave Jamari and Kaylin with friends who could get them to the game.  (The three are on the same team.)  They have no baton commitments Tuesday.  But Samuel is the "star" player.  I could conceivably leave baton 15 minutes early which would get him to basketball 15 minutes late.  *sigh*  Its not a great plan.  Maybe a miracle will occur between now and then?

The other irony is I had finally screwed up the courage and dug out all the material to begin the learning to read program for Jamari and Rainee.  And she's sick.  *snicker*

Oh well, its all sitting here for when she's better again.  They both should be reading by June, and its all good.

  • AH, the joys of parenthood!  I'm betting you figure out the ball/baton thingy.

  • I'm sorry the kids are still sick.  I tend to like the day where everyone is somewhat better, but all they have the energy to do is watch tv.  But when they were 3yo, it was a different story.

don't you just love trying to juggle conflicting appointments for all your kids?  I feel like I have a permanent impression of my rear on the drivers seat of my van.  I'm always in the car lately.
