You Tube and Braids
I don't remember what made me think of it, but I wanted to learn some tips for Corn Rowing Zeria's hair. Oh wait yes I do points to a subscriber who recently added a sister to her family.
Any how I went to You Tube and typed in how to corn row, and then how to braid.
I taught myself as a result how to do Criss-Cross Corn Rows in Zeria's hair. It turned out pretty decent the second time. LOL The first time I was on a strong learning curve, and I did the wrong kind of braid, but it still looked not bad. This time it looks quite cute, I just need some gel to keep it a wee bit less fuzzy, but I knew that going into it.
I also found a really good video for doing the Fish Tail braid which I did in Kaylin's hair. Its fun to learn something new, and will be fun to do for the girls for their Christmas outfits.
I also learned a fun bun which I did on Rainee's hair. You braid in this big long stretch of ribbon and then use the ribbon to make a lovely bow.
All in all a hair learning adventure.

Hair learning or hair raising? Ehehehehe!
And the pictures??????????
Hey! There wasn't "gravy" per se in the haystack recipe, but the chicken was cooked in cream of chicken soup and chicken broth so I guess that would be the gravy. Donna chose to cook it and the chicken in a small crockpot for a few hours on high. You can also just cook it up in a saucepan. So basically, yeah, you've had what we had last night.
Sometimes I am thankful that I didn't have a daughter to have to learn to do the special braiding on her hair. My granddaughter's hair is just very curly, so it is a challenge. I can do decent braids, but just regular ones. I did her hair like her mom wears hers sometimes today, so she was happy with it. Ian the older grandson has hair that could be cornrowed, but we keep it cut rather close. After all, he is a young guy. My son grew his out once...it stood out for about three feet. haha
Gramma use to do the 'fun bun' with my hair all the time when I was little. The fish bone braiding is absolutely beautiful. There is also another one that is kind of like French braiding but you use four groupings of hair instead of three. The easiest way to do it is keeping the four sections separated by keeping two in each hand with a finger in between. The best way is to start with palms up and thing turn your hands over so that the sections twist. You then take the two sections in the middle and cross them and repeat the process bringing in sections of hair as you go and always turning the outer two towards the center.
