RYC: Hello -- I checked and checked, but the pink flower, which resembled a rose to me too, is really a Sticky Geranium. Pretty darn cool. It grows around streams, open woods, bogs, marshes and sagebrush plains. I wanted to snip a flower or two to keep. Ehehehehe. As for pixels and zoom. I have less pixels than you do. My camera is three years old and has 6.1 pixels. It's a Kodak EasyShare Z760. It has a decent zoom, but half the time I was in the wrong mode. One minute I was photographing flowers, the next I'm frantically trying to photograph a bear several hundred feet away. LOL. Makes for major panic moments. Last time I went I simply used my old Nikon N50 and will remember it next time around.
