  • Heart of Country

    This weeks photo challenge is Heart of the Country.  I had to think awhile about this.  Because when I think country I immediately think cutesey wootsy tractor pictures.  And though I truely live in the country.   In the middle of the nowhere.  I live in the woods country, and don't have that kind.  But when I finally made myself think I pulled all of these out.

    The first one is "My" heart of the country.  This is my dad teaching my husband how to buck a tree.  My dad has been a logger all his life.  This is country for me.  This tree he's bucking by the way was a winter damage tree that was too big for our bitsy chain saw.

  • What beautiful children .. great photos!  Your little blokes hair is absolutely beautiful.

    RYC:  Glad your little girl liked the photo of the koala.  That one was living in luxury in a reserve. We don't see them wild much anyone because of development.  The kangaroos on the other hand are in abundance .. not in the cities but not too far out they can be seen laying in the sun.  I haven't been home for coming on 5 years .. I miss it.

    I love blackberries but for some strange reason my kids don't think that they are that great.  Must be that for me they were such a treat when we could find some and for the kids this year is the first time that they have eaten them (my sil bought some for a treat).
