HEALTHY!
Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease
Bronchial Malacia
Near Complete Distal Trachea Rings
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
Gross Motor Delays
Central Sleep Apnea
Chronic Yeast Infections
Patent Ductus Arterosus
These are all words Rainee taught me in the first five years of her life. They are words I’ve agonized over on this blog since I’ve been blogging since before she was even “created”. *cough ROFL*
And its been a long haul.
But today a miracle happened.
I went to a healthy checkup for Rainee today. And for the first time we didn’t end up with a referal to a specialist. We didn’t add meds, and we didn’t add a new diagnosis. She’s still on prevacid, flovent, and singulair. But in my and the doctors eyes.
She’s
Healthy!!!
Thank you God.

RYC: I talked to my OB and she is fine with me going every couple months to be monitored. So she wants me to do that so I guess I will. lol BUT next time the lung dr. sends her a letter to keep her updated (as she always has) my OB will call her and talk to her over the phone. My OB understands my concern as far as the medicine and she did say that many people don’t like Advair for some reason so trying a different one might be fine. But she also understands my concern about taking ANY steriods when it doesn’t seem to really be worth it. I really think there is a point hwere it won’t matter what I take, there is a limit of improvement she’ll get period. With that in mind, I’m going to do only what I have to to function normally and comfortablly for me.
The problem is, like I told my OB, I can’t just flat out say I don’t have asthma period because I do realize something has changed and that I wasn’t treating it as I shoul’dve been before I went to the new lung dr. So I can’t just totally brush her off and quit everything. LOL However, depending how their phone conversation goes, I may switch. I could go back to the one I saw before, it’s just further to drive. LOL (which is why I wanted one closer to home) But I’ll let the 2 doctors hash it out first and see if they can come to some sort of plan that I will be happy with.
