Soggy wet day today. Just gray and drizzily. But still mommy needed to go to the oshean. (ocean) Not the beach the oshean. The beach is the strait that is near by us which is a part of the ocean obviously, but not nearly as wild. I needed wild. So we drove out to Neah Bay and went to the Oshean. It wasn't a great day to play at the beach, but it was still nice to breathe in ocean air and watch the waves crash.
The kids were delighted to find an already made beach fort. The middle kids never left it they played there the whole time.
The two oldest however ran around like they'd just been let off short leashes. I personally had to get as close to the waves as possible, and Jeremiah eventually followed me. We played wave tag. This is a very shallow beach, and the perfect place to play wave tag as you can play, but not actually get too wet.
Can you tell he was sick all week? He actually lost over 2 pounds poor guy. But he is definitely better! PTL Kaylin is a bit mopey, but hasn't thrown up. She perks up when there's something intresting, but for the most part is content to just snuggle. She stayed in the van while we were at the beach. We could see it the whole time, so there was no danger involved. And she just wasn't up to playing. But mommy needed OUT of the house with a capital O.
I have a new favorite picture. Its this one of Zeria. Isn't that superb? I'm going to LOVE scrapping that one. Its all about looking at life from a different angle. LOL
Anyhow we're slowly mending, which is good as the plan for tomorrow is a VERY full day. We colored eggs this afternoon. The first time I've had my kids do that. It went better then expected. Although Jeremiah was quite convinced he was missing out on something. *snigger* It was all rather entertaining somehow. He cried cause he didn't have a cup. (ya know to put the tablets and vinegar in) "You don't need a cup yet." I kept saying, but he was frantic he was missing something.
He however eventually figured it out and "helped" dad make 4. We each made 4 which means 2 dozen eggs. Plus I have a HUGE amount of plastic eggs. We will hide them at grandma and granpa's after church.
It will be weird this year though as we will have the only "kids". My siblings are staying in Yakima. Gonna miss them.
Psst;
Jeremiah has gone potty on the toilet 3x in the last hour. *shocked* Before even suggesting it he was adament against it. OH man I hope this is the beginning of the end of diapys!!!!

great pics (as usual!) - we dyed 18 eggs tonite (3 eggs per child x 6 kids) - we will do the egg hunt tomorrow - indoors, of course, since the weather is supposed to be wet and cold - hooray for the end of diaper days!!!
RYC: thanks for the advice. We had a melt down yesterday when we were leaving to "find a new house." He was afraid we were leaving behind ALL his things and he was not going to have them anymore. It was so sad.. he grabbed his favorite shirt and shorts so that he would have a change of clothes. Poor baby.
How exciting that he's going to the toilet... Could be your last diapers! Good riddance, huh?
Julie LOVED and was VERY IMPRESSED with the picture of Zeria. She is so used to being careful and just doing the moves taught to her at gymnastics. She could use some influence to have fun and be creative with what she knows. Of course a nice sandy beach to practice on would be nice : ) . She does however spend more time doing cartwheels than actually walking anywhere.
