  • Well 

    I guess Jer really was sick.

    I finally decided to take him into the doctors as his fever kept spiking.  NOt high, but just never going away. 

    And go figure he has (in the words of the doctor)  "2 really bad ear infections."

    I guess there's a reason he was hot and clingy, and whiney.

    But he NEVER once pulled on his ears.

    So 4.5 hours of driving, appointments, and visits to the pharmacy.  He's all taken care of.

    And I'm tired.

    My parents are willingly giving there weekend up and taking the kids for the night.  Rob and I are going to stay in a motel in PA.   Eat two meals out ALL by ourselves.   Shop by ourselves.  Read books by ourselves.

    And just have time as a couple.

    Its been a long time.  Oh and grandparents are quite capable of administering antibiotics, so unless Jer gets worse its still on.

    RYC: LifeTouch! These guys are just... amazing! They're also in California. Just phenomenal and so careful. Having been twice a parent helper, I've seen these people in action and they're EXCELLENT. The best in the school picture business. The spring pix are just... WOW!

  • I keep hearing people saying that the viral things this winter are going into secondary things like bronchitis and requiring a antibiotic (my doc told me that when I went in with my viral thing and she wanted me to leave with a script just in case... she's never done that.)  Has Jer had a cold?  My mom always said if they have a lot of drainage, there's a big chance of an ear infection.  I always has them check if they had fever and we had the same thing as happened to us as you did.  I even had times where the nurse doubted me, but momma was always right.  So, I think your mama will do just fine wit your bebes... that's great for you guys!  Get extra pillows, sleep in and do whatever else ya'll wanna do!
