You'll never guess what we did today.  (read sarcastically)  We headed back to the beach.  The weather was perfect for it.  And we had a lot of fun.  We ended up walking almost a mile along the beach.  When we hit the stopping spot Rob climbed up to the road and jogged back for the van while we continued to enjoy the beach for a few minutes.    The kids were in their element flying every which way.  The above picture was quite appropriate.   They just love exploring.

Samuel's favorite beach game is tag.  And he plays it well.

I loved this shot of him as he shouts in victory that he beat the wave again.  *grin*

Jamari and Rainee playing tag as well.

And then these two shots.  AFter the beach it was still beautiful so we drove along the coast for awhile.  Samuel spotted this fella.  And Rob pulled into a look-out and I walked back to "shoot" him.   He cooperated for several very nice frames, and then took off.  I managed to catch him mid take-off.  I so love the zoom on this camera!!!!!  No tripod.  Just point, aim, shoot.  Too cool

The fella by the way is a eagle.  I've studied a bunch of bird pictures, and I'm still not sure which one he is.  He's either a yearling or a golden eagle.  You can decide.  All I know is he's majestic, and I'm a teensy bit jealous of his ability to fly.

  • Joël says, "Wow, we still have 2 feet of snow!"  I think he misses the ocean.  But he likes snow too.

    The eagle pictures are amazing!

  • The beach... it must be nice that white stuff is floating down from the sky here tonight... too cold for the beach...

  • Check your email for the rest of the story.

  • Even with all the animals we saw up there, no eagles I did think of you all as we drove thru PA. ;) Have you all been to the Olympic Game Farm? It's really awesome.

  • Great photos (again)!

  • Wow, so I'm not really THAT weird after all!   Or...we both are. LOL  I never had it until I got pregnant with Jesse.  It went away when he was born, then showed up one month out of the blue after Jesse wasn't nursing as much a few months after my cycle came back.  It doesn't happen every month, but it does often.  And I do suspect some type of allergy(ies) that probably is only further aggravating things so that's why I'm going to try taking care of that to see how much it helps.

Like today, I should've taken my inhaler, I was already getting short of breathe easily, but didn't knowing I was going in--I'm due to start tomorrow.  After they did the first round of breathing tests, I did another with the inhaler (to compare the numbers) and I could breathe so much better afterwards! LOL  It's like I get so used to it, it doesn't occur to me until after the fact to use it.
