It was a wonderful day.
The sun was out which in and of itself is a minor miracle. *giggles*
This morning I played 3 rounds of Rummy-o with Kaylin and Zeria. We got it for Christmas from my mom and dad. The girls caught on very fast and it was a lot of fun. Samuel came and wanted to play half-way round three, but we needed to make lunch, so maybe I'll teach it to him another day.
After lunch, and the great llama escapade we headed out and got a campfire going. I had tried last week, and got greedy with the wet wood, and basically just made smoke. But this time I used one of our regular fire pits, lots of kindling, and lots of our dry firewood. When it was nice and blazing I was able to get a bunch of the branches from the tree that came down closest to our house. We have SOOOOOOOO much burning ahead of us.
Its a good thing I LOVE it.

If its nice tomorrow I would be ecstatic to get the tree in my front yard all cleaned up. I'm not sure its doable in one day, but oh man it would be nice.
Anyhow it was fun to be in the fresh air. Zeria caught Cricket and we took the reins off the bridle, and just attatched them to the halter. Cricket HATES the bit. She actually did pretty well that way. Zeria was able to give all the little kids nice long rides. Samuel tried to ride that way, but wasn't as stubborn as Zeria and gave up. Cricket will get stubborn and just refuse to move. Zeria is more stubborn. *snigger* And alder switches are good on pony backsides too.

After words we came inside and had a loverly dinner of parmesean noodles and hamburger. (my own made-up recipe that we love). If any ones intrested I can write it out, otherwise suffice it to say it was quite nummy.
The fire was still going, and I kept looking out the window at it even though it was dark. And finally couldn't take it any longer. "All right, back outside let's go enjoy it." And we did.
The kids were a hoot. The five big ones loved how the fire was really sparky. (like lots of sparklers). So then they began running these big circles around it. (far away enough for their to be no danger of falling in). As they ran they chanted like Natives. Fireworshipers or something. Rob and I just enjoyed there pleasure.
We didn't stay out long cause its still cold out there. We all curled up in front of tv and watched Justice League. My kids have recently discovered this show, and Rob and I enjoy it as much as they do. So its a 6 pm date every night. LOL
It wasn't anything spectacular this day. But it was so nice.

Sounded like a wonderful day.
Is that game Rummycube? Cards or tiles? We play Rummycube and Julie, Jaimée and I love it. Nicole could play now too.
Have fun with your bonfire!
Sounds like a great day! We've had a lot of rain here lately, too, and flooding abounds. Our house is on a slope, so we're safe, but the creek is overflowing. The kids are loving playing in it. Anyhoo, Blitz hates the bit too, and we use a hackamore. I don't know if they make hacks for ponies though. A halter works just as well, as long as stubborn Cricket lets it! LOL Switches are a necessity for ponies, imo.
Sounds like an absolutely wonderful day! I love reading about the daily activities with your children.. I have always desired a big family. Thanks so much for sharing!
