  • .Good morning

And today's weather is brought to you via Rainydame.

It is snowing lightly, and expected to do so all day.  The temperature is 20 F or -5 Celsius for those Farenheit deprived   Pokes Faith.

And due to our power being out for so long yesterday in the cold weather.  We lost water.  *sigh*  We think the pipes are frozen.  Rob is under the house with a blow dryer.    What we need is a little space heater, but we don't have one.   So shrugs we shall see.

We left water dripping before the power went out, but alas its not an option when there's no power.

See its not the winter weather that's annoying me Faith, its the consequences of the weird winter weather.   We usually get power outages, and wind yucky
s in February not late November.  Well some wind in November, but not like this.  So for the month of November we've evacuated because of flood, had our power out for long periods of time, more times then I can count anymore, can't drive due to the roads, and now now water.

    Its such a joy November.

  • That's positively balmy, it's -27C here today.

  • It is 63 here. Very wierd for almost December. It is usually like you have. Be very careful in thawing your pipes. There is usually at least one home here a season that burns down while trying to thaw pipes. If it stays cold and you lose power leave the water on at a slow trickle and then they won't freeze. We have had to do that more than once.

  • RYC:  oh yeah, difinately like his papa!

Ok, so having pipes freeze because the temperature dropped slightly below zero is not in my realm of experience.  But it must be really lousy.  Do you have a wood fire?  How do you keep warm?

  • so sorry for all the power and water problems but your pics of the snow covered trees - and kids - are great!

i luv cold and snow - so of course i live in texas near the gulf coast - go figure

  • Wow, beautiful snow pictures.  I love snowy, winter weather.  But then again I don't get much of it in my area.  And I don't know if I'd love it so much if I lost my power!!  Enjoyed your pics!
