  • Yes  I' m alive

Just been enjoying the holiday.  We did Thanksgiving Friday thanks to Rob's schedule.

I've also been umm not enjoying the power-out.  Its been out since noon.  About 8 hours.  But AM happy in that Rob had heard it would be tomorrow about noon that it would be on, and it came on about 15 minutes ago.  That being said its surged about 4x, so it could go out at any minute.

There was a foot of snow dumped most places, and major trees down across the roads apparently.  We live sooooooo close to the ocean that we got less then a inch.

Its all rather bizarre actually because last year at this time we got the foot, because we still lived up in the foothills.  Now we rarely get it.  My kids still enjoyed what little bit we got, although I think they were hoping for more.

Anyhow, I'm almost over this cold, and starting to feel somewhat normal.

Rob is doing an overtime today due to the roads being closed, and nobody being able to get out here.  The roads were closed due to slides/trees.  Its so great to live at the end of the earth.  *snicker*  Ahh well overtime with a weekend deferential just doesn't hurt my feelings this close to Christmas.

Edits;  Oh lovely Rob volunteered for the first overtime.  The nightshift crew can't get in.  So now he's been "mandatoried" for another 8 hours.  Woo see that overtime rack up.

  • ahh, winter weather - so unpredictable! enjoy the snow - wish we had some!

  • Was wondering if you were getting any of that snow?  I guess 1 inch is better than nothing and you can drive to some snow if you want more (when the roads are cleared).  It is snowing here today but not really adding up to much of anything.  We'll see if more falls tonight- it is supposed to.

We got the nasty colds now.  Joel and Nicole are home today.  Nicole is just croaky and snotty but Joel is feeling miserable and his eyes are dark and droopy.  I went to the store this morning and bought a lot of juice and fruit.  We'll see if we can drown out the germs : )  I am still fighting the sore throat but I think I am winning so far.

  • Still 75 degrees here everyday. *evil grin* I hear people complaining about not being able to get in the Christmas spirit because it's too hot, and all I can say is how thrilled I am. :)

    WOO HOO on the overtime!
