Big dead tree. Now we know why Cricket ran across the yard yesterday like her tail was on fire.
See how far down that is split. Rather impressive somehow that wind did that.
the front of the picture is the top of the tree. The little tiny bit of stump way down in the back of the picture is the stump. It was a TALL tree. Now its just firewood.

awesome - your pic reminds me of my grampa - we lived with my grandparents while my dad was in vietnam - my grampa had some timber land in new hampshire and we went with him once to pick out our Christmas tree - he basically cut down a tall pine and took the top for our Christmas tree - then he cut up the rest of the tree for firewood for his cabin - we helped stack the firewood - lots and lots of firewood.
I was wondering how you were being affected by all the rain that we are hearing about in the news about B.C. Wow, that wind must have been scary. Was the tree far from your house?
