My kids are highly amused.
We left in the dark and came home in the dark. We got to see stars in the driveway both ways.
It was a fun day. And a BEAUTIFUL drive. Just incredible weather. We left the house by 6:45 am, and had our first rest stop at Kalaloch which is about 2.5 hours away.
It was gorgeous as the sunrise was still in the air, but oh my word was it FREEZING cold. As a result the break wasn't as long as originally intended. *snicker*

I broke out my big tripod and put it to use. It was a lot of fun. And I was highly impressed with how well the zoom on the camera works while using the tripod.
I shall have to play with it some more. Maybe this means I can finally get some GOOD bald eagle pictures, instead of the ones I keep deleting without sharing. LOL

I you can take the time click on the beach pictures and make them bigger. The detail is superb. And yes it was this beautiful. The beach at Kalaloch goes for miles and miles of sand and big waves.

Anyhow another 3 hours of driving and we arrived in Centralia to celebrate my sister's birthday. ALL of my immediate family was there, something we haven't managed for quite awhile. Which of course meant we had to have a picture--much to the men's chagrin. This is them. We are all related, except Isaiah's very serious girlfriend. Whom we're really, really, really hoping he'll keep. She's nice, She's a Christian, she's good for him. It would mean for all of us that there's hope that one of the boys will turn out. Oh man we all pray so.

So there we are three generations of craziness.
We had to have another posed shot as well (of course) this was of the 9 birth siblings my parents and us "share". They also haven't all been together in almost two years. We watched this situation like a hawk, but all seemed to go well. We were at a beautiful Parks & Recreation clubhouse, that had a huge park/playground surrounding it. The problem-child (my mothers not mine) stayed in the clubhouse the whole day. This made snoopervising relatively easy.

My sister Christina is currently helping a grandma raise two adorable children. She has lost her heart to them as she always does with wee-ones. The grandma has told Christina she is making arrangements if something happens to her she wants Christina to raise them. Christina is setting herself up for heartbreak. But oh what precious children. They are 4 and 3?'ish. The older is a girl. Her name is Faith. And she and Rainee instantly bonded. They played soooooo hard. I wish Faith lived much, much closer. Ahh well. Anyhow I wanted to snag a picture of them, but Rainee was SAD that we were leaving. So its not as good as it could be, but it still is cute.

I took other pictures, but there not of intrest to anyone at xanga, so I'll leave with those.
It was a good long day. But now its time to go to bed. LOL
