Month: October 2006

  • Quiet day today;

    I needed one.

Its also beautiful outside...but FRICKIN' cold.

I was able to purchase Voyagers on Ebay, and we watched the first episode as part of school.  This is NOT Star Trek Voyager.  ITs Voyagers.  It was a time-travel show that played just one season in the 80's.  They travel history "fixing" it where its wrong.  The premiere was about helping the Wright Brothers patch things up, so the Germans didn't win world war I due to there being no planes. kid

It was well done, and quite enjoyable.  It is going to be a excellent little picture for my kids into history without knowing there getting it.  *snicker*

Its my favorite kind of history.  I've always loved history movies, and historical novels.  It was fun to share it with the kids.

  • Oh man what a terribly long day.

I had to grocery shop--which should have been done LAST Wednesday.  And I had to get Kaylin's blood work done for her thyroid, and take her to a doctors appointment when the results were back.  In and out, In and out of the car.

We left the house at 7:30 a.m. and got home at 4:30 p.m.

    I'm just exhausted.

I also finally made a decision about something I've been putting off for awhile.  It feels good.  I've given myself permission to step back a bit from something.

The honest Halloween picture.   Nobody looking where their suppose to.  But hey there cute.   And yes, I know Halloween isn't until Tuesday.  Don't tell my kids k?  Cause in Clallam Bay its celebrated today.  *snicker*

So for your viewing pleasure we have.

Darth maul.  I did the make-up.  I thought it turned out pretty well.   (gives myself pat on shoulder.)

    100_0227

    Next we have Pocahontas...the blonde

    100_0225

The horse.  Jamari will wear this costume every year until we can't pry it on him or off him.  Jamari LOVES horses.  As atested to his only requirement of marriage being that the lady owns one.  *snort*

    100_0228

Next we have the Polynesian Princess.  I actually still shocked Rob let her wear this.  *giggles*  Its a good thing she's still very umm flat on top.

    100_0229

Next we have the Dalmation puppy.  She bought this at the rummage store for twenty-five cents.  I love the rummage store.

    100_0230

And the baby Lion.  Who was very very serious about that whole make-up thing.  It took him an hour to smile.  *snicker*

    100_0231

Okay since you were good and oowed and awed at my magnificent photography.  *snort*    We shall conclude with the more professional halloween picture.

    100_0224

And that is the goofy ones.

  • Ahhh

    Quiet.

    Well sorta.  LOL

I've declared a Jeremiah free-hour, and have a husband who is trying to give it to me.

The rest of the kiddos are in the sun-room exploring the "gift" a couple from our church just dropped off.  She works at the rummage store I've blogged about.  They had a ton of little McD's sized toys.  Cars, Polly pocket stuff that kind of thing.  She wanted to exchange the stuff in the store for new donated stuff.  So she brought a garbage can full of plastic toys.

My kids think they have died and gone to heaven.

Mom and Dad think there's a big messa comin'.  *snicker*

Rob preached this morning.  He was an absolute nervous wreck, but did well.  My only criticque was read a bit slower.  But I'm always asking him to do that around here too.  *snicker*  He thinks because he can read well fast, he should.  I think one should make the reading intresting.

    I'll train him eventually.

My dad is bringing a cow this afternoon for us.  We are going halves in it.  ITs 3 months preggers, so we will raise its calf and butcher it, and rebreed the cow.

And this afternoon we're headed to a Halloween party.

    Ach its so busy!

  • Good morning

We arrived home last night about 9 pm.

We have 5 whiney kiddos who spent TOO much time at Grandma & Grandpa's around teenagers with attitude, and being spoiled.  The combination this morning isn't pretty.

And man my husband who is never grumpy is worse then the kids.

I think I need to send  them ALL out to run.  *snicker*

    Rob enjoyed his conference.

I mostly enjoyed myself.  The day times got a bit long.  I had a blast Thursday, but Friday both Jeremiah and I were ready to get daddy.  I'm not used to having to entertain only one child all day.  I'd missed how much I count on the other children to entertain each other.  LOL

I did manage to get *some* scrapbooking done.  It was nice to get back in the groove.

  • Okies

We're loaded up, and headed out of here.

I'll be back on the weekend sometime, but who knows if I'll get back online here until Monday.

    *waves*

  • The words I wanta help.

They strike terror in a mother of a 23 month old.

Because 23 month olds.  Are NOT helpful.

  • Good morning

Its a rainy day outside.   And I have a ton of packing to do in the next 24 hours.   So all is good.  LOL

Rob is getting a all expense paid nursing conference Thursday and Friday.  The big kids will be going to grandma's.  Mom and Jer will be going with him.  Its in Shoreline somewhat close to Northgate Mall.  I'm sure I'll find some way to entertain myself.  *snigger*  I will also be bringing some scrapbooking, and crocheting.  Enough for 7 or 8 days.  *snicker*

    It should be fun.

Other then that I've just been puttering.

I've really, really struggled with my energy levels lately.  All I'm good for is to get up, feed the kids, and make sure they don't kill each other.  ALL cleaning and laundry has been done by Rob and the kids.  I literally haven't been able to.   And it sucks.   I haven't even been able to write.  I just stare at fanfictions and read as its all I have the energy for.

I'm hoping something give's soon.    But then I guess this is what living with Chronic Fatigue is like huh?   I don't have the actual diagnosis from a doctor.  But I have ALL the symptoms.  I just don't feel like paying money for the results of the tests.

And I think I've blogged that before.  hmmm this blog is getting nowhere.  I'm so brain dead.

  • My kids are highly amused.

We left in the dark and came home in the dark.   We got to see stars in the driveway both ways.

It was a fun day.  And a BEAUTIFUL drive.   Just incredible weather.  We left the house by 6:45 am, and had our first rest stop at Kalaloch which is about 2.5 hours away.

It was gorgeous as the sunrise was still in the air, but oh my word was it FREEZING cold.  As a result the break wasn't as long as originally intended.  *snicker*

    100_0178

I broke out my big tripod and put it to use.  It was a lot of fun.  And I was highly impressed with how well the zoom on the camera works while using the tripod.

I shall have to play with it some more.  Maybe this means I can finally get some GOOD bald eagle pictures, instead of the ones I keep deleting without sharing.  LOL

    100_0181

I you can take the time click on the beach pictures and make them bigger.  The detail is superb.   And yes it was this beautiful.  The beach at Kalaloch goes for miles and miles of sand and big waves.

    100_0182

Anyhow another 3 hours of driving and we arrived in Centralia to celebrate my sister's birthday.  ALL of my immediate family was there, something we haven't managed for quite awhile.  Which of course meant we had to have a picture--much to the men's chagrin.  This is them.  We are all related, except Isaiah's very serious girlfriend.  Whom we're really, really, really hoping he'll keep.  She's nice, She's a Christian, she's good for him.  It would mean for all of us that there's hope that one of the boys will turn out.  Oh man we all pray so.

    100_0186

So there we are three generations of craziness.

We had to have another posed shot as well (of course)   this was of the 9 birth siblings my parents and us "share".  They also haven't all been together in almost two years.   We watched this situation like a hawk, but all seemed to go well.  We were at a beautiful Parks & Recreation clubhouse, that had a huge park/playground surrounding it.    The problem-child (my mothers not mine)  stayed in the clubhouse the whole day.   This made snoopervising relatively easy.

    100_0190

My sister Christina is currently helping a grandma raise two adorable children.   She has lost her heart to them as she always does with wee-ones.  The grandma has told Christina she is making arrangements if something happens to her she wants Christina to raise them.  Christina is setting herself up for heartbreak.  But oh what precious children.   They are 4 and 3?'ish.  The older is a girl.  Her name is Faith.  And she and Rainee instantly bonded.  They played soooooo hard.  I wish Faith lived much, much closer.  Ahh well.    Anyhow I wanted to snag a picture of them, but Rainee was SAD that we were leaving.  So its not as good as it could be, but it still is cute.

    100_0220

I took other pictures, but there not of intrest to anyone at xanga, so I'll leave with those.    It was a good long day.  But now its time to go to bed.  LOL

  • Good morning

It was a lovely day yesterday.  We got the stuff we needed without any issues.  Of course we also didn't let Samuel in any stores, so that might of had something to do with it.

After a bit of recovery time we had dinner, and then went to our local beach.   I thought it might be a bit cold, but we all ended up shedding our coats, and stayed until sunset.  Actually we would have stayed longer, except sunset comes early these days.

    100_0131

My new camera came with a baby tri-pod so I set it up and took a somewhat candid shot of all of us.   Its not my favorite of me, but ahh well, we can't all look like models.

                                100_0140

This beach for those of you trying to keep track is Slip Point.   We've never made it all the way around it.  We'd like to, but you have to time it with the tide and daylight.   Something we've yet to manage.  Its also a lot of climbing, and Jerbud isn't quite up to that.   And no I didn't go over those big rocks, most of us went around them, but they were kid magnets, so they had to be climbed.  *snicker*

                                                           100_0150

And yes they are as tall as they look.   We made it back to the pebble beach just as the sun was setting.  So Rob and I sat and watched that while the kids climbed the hill, and then we headed home.

We needed a nice vedge day.    Today Rob is going to fix (oh man we hope it fixes) the hose for our central air.  And mommy is going to run to the Forks pharmacy and pick up her Flonaise.   This is supposed to help the sinus headaches.   Tomorrow we are headed to Centralia to celebrate my sisters 21st birthday.   My mom has rented a clubhouse there for the day, and we are all meeting her.   Centralia is half-way between where my sis lives, and the rest of us do.  This way no one has the bulk of the driving.  But that being said its about 4.5 hours away, so its gonna be a LONG day.
