Month: September 2006

  • I'd like to take the time to point out that its 8:37 am.

The point in this is the Stove guy who didn't deliver on Thursday, and when we called him said it would be sometime next week, was told if it wasn't delivered by noon on Friday we wanted our money back, and we were gonna be doing some MAJOR discing of him.

He called back (eventually) and told us it would be here at 8 am.

    Yeah un Huh.

Now this appliance shop has been reliable in the past.

But it is the LAST time I do business with them.

At the rate we're going we'll have our windows insstalled before he shows up with the stove.

I'm headed to Port Angeles to pick up my youngest sister.  My parents are headed to a Bill Gaither Homecoming concert with friends.  My older two sisters are going to a basketball game at the highschool, and J'dai needed a "sitter"  She's 12, but is still a bit young to be on her own.  And Zeria loves her big sister, so it all works out.   The kids are ecstatic she's coming.

Oh look I open a blog to vent, and they arrive.  45 minutes late.  Ahh well they will install the wretched stove, and then this debalacle will be ovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvver!

  • Good morning

I'd like to declare I'm not into 3'sums in bed.  Nope not at all.  Especially when their a one year old and a four year old beating on either side of me.

Jer has taken to waking up several times a week in the middle of the night crying.

I secrete a hormone that shows I'm "lonely" on Wednesday nights.  This is why almost every Wednesday night while Rob is working the night shift Rainee ends up having a nightmare.

The good news is Rainee sleeps somewhat still.

Yup she only kicked me once.

Jer on the other hand.  Ai chihuahua.  He's like sleeping with a weed eater.  Its very good for healing a sore back ya know.  To be kicked in all the sore spots over and over.

    *growl*

He went back into his bed about 5:00 pm cause I couldn't take it any more, and I finally woke up enough to go take him back.  Rainee remained.  She's getting too big to carry.  And sides she sleeps still.  (sorta).

I am NOT a co-sleeper.  *snort*  I prefer to do *that* with my husband.

So back to my original topic.  All blonde babies need to stay in there OWN beds.

  • I spent last night all curled up in a ball hugging my ice pack.   When Rob got home I took my last flexeril and 800 ibuprofen.  Rob worked on my back for awhile and the Flexeril began kicking in.

I woke up this morning feeling human.  I am stiff, but not in extreme pain.  Of course I'm going to be extra, extra careful for awhile.  I keep thinking I should go to the chiropractor too.  I just hate taking the two hour drive one way.

Rob by the way has magic hands when it comes to my back.   Is that too much information?  Well he does LOL

I can't believe how much he spoils me.  He does all the laundry and all the dishes thanks to them being too major back pain triggers.  He does this as well as working.   And then he still takes time to enjoy his kids.  How cool is that?

  • Go figure we have two of our four hottest days in September.  Its been deliciously hot the last two days.  I am sooooooooo enjoying it.  My mil even got hot.  Which considering she's ALWAYS cold is a miracle.  She *gasp* asked to move to the shade.  This is the true definition of hot.

We're having fun.  I'm exhausted.  I'll put up pictures later.  Except this one.

My mil felt it was necessary to steal my camera, and show off my head gear.  And now I'm stupid enough to share it on the WWW.  LOL

I'm not afraid to laugh at myself.

The highlight of today was spotting five sea-otters climbing up on a rock and getting to watch them.  We took the 'ils to two different beaches which they thoroughly enjoyed, and played by the river.

I've been dragging due to the heat, the company, and Jer forgetting how to sleep at night.  I had a melt down this morning just before the 'ils pulled into the driveway.  So I went and hid in the bathroom until most of it was done.

Tomorrow the 'ils are taking us out to lunch.  Which won't be relaxing, but at least I dont' have to cook.  And Monday there headed out, and I'm once again going to be craving a weekend to recover from my weekend.

  • My 'ils are here.  And after rather crummy weather all week we had a GORGEOUS day.   I didn't completely take it easy.  I found myself scrubbing kitchen counters/cabinet fronts.   But it was rather enjoyable as I wasn't pressured and Zeria and Kaylin came and offered to help.  The kitchen looked much better when we were done the deep clean too.  I read for awhile, and then Kaylin and I went and picked more blackberrys.  We got enough for a cobbler and 3 more batches of jam.   Kaylin loves to help me, and is always asking for money jobs.   Rainee well she just likes to eat them.  Points to the picture and snickers.  She made blackberry jam too...using her fingers and a zippy bag.  The dress I do believe is toast.

I spend an abnormal amount of time telling my kids to pick stuff out of the yard.  And it always seems like there's paper, toys, and wood everywhere no matter how much work we do on it.  But I have to say...this find in the yard left me snickering instead of growling.  Rob just stared kind of wild-eyed.  Kids are funny ya know.

All of the older kids have been around grandma and grandpa often enough that their yearly visit is something to look forward to.  I honestly expected Jeremiah however to play shy.  My parents have had to work hard to make friends with them.  The first hour or so he stuck pretty close to us.  But then all of a sudden he decided grandma was quite cool, and he even brought a book over to her and talked with her about it for over ten minutes.  This is a LONG time in Jer's world.  I think he likes his Grandma Yvonne.

Usually the youngest takes several days to warm up to grandma & grandpa so it was a nice treat for her to get to play with him so quickly.  After a nice long read it was then time for Jerbud to tackle his big sister.  She played so nicely with him.  She gave him a LONG bucking bronco ride, and he loved every minute of it.  All of the kids are so good with him.  We do have to be careful however, as yesterday Jer was chasing Kaylin around the house with a stick.  Which he used on her and made her cry.  He thought it was a game and was laughing.  She wasn't.    Ahh well their siblings they'll figure it out.

Anyhow the visit appears to be going fine.  They arrived early this afternoon which is ever so much better then their normal arrival times.  Tomorrow we'll go play at the beach with them and just hang around the house.  They stay at a motel so I get the late evenings to myself which is rather nice.
