  • Whatsoever things are true;

    The truth.  I can’t fix the world.  I’m not in control.  I’m only responsible for my children, and myself.  And even then I can only guide, and discipline my children ultimately the choices are up to them.

    Whatsoever things are noble/honest;

    In all honesty I’m overwhelmed.   I need to focus on one step at a time, not worry about my kids as teenagers.

    Whatsoever things are pure;

    Pure is my childrens smiles, the soft fur of a kitten.  The hug from my husband.

    Whatsoever things are just;

    God is just, and in the end it will all make sense.

    Whatsoever things are lovely;

    The sunset, the green trees, the babbling of the river, the waves crashing, the seal on the rocks.

    Whatsoever things are of good report;

    Samuel reading well yesterday.   Zeria’s hugs.  Jer’s talking and joking.  Rainee’s smile, Kaylin’s laughter, Jamari’s determination to try.  Rob’s hard work he does for us.

    If there be any virtue;

    This word means moral excellence.  This is Kaylin reporting the truth.  My friends for standing up for those around them.

    If there be any praise

    The praise is the simple things.  Noticing what is around me and thanking God.   Thankful for the quiet times, the noisy times, and the trying times.

    Think on these things  Phillippians 4:11

  • Yes God has a plan. I have 8, 9, 17 and 19 year old boys. I can tell you that they will stray, they will become people  you dont know, they will stop wanting that good night kiss and break your heart but somewhere around 18 my oldest became human again and even apreciates the things we do for him…  I just hope it lasts. I think it has been harder since we have had teenagers in the house then when they were babies. I will be honest. If I had gone thru Teenagehood with the first two before I had the little guys. I would have NEVER had more children. ButI love them and have cursed each one with having a child just like themselves to deal with someday.. LOL  What cha gonna do, you gotta keep them, love them and keep them safe from themselves..  Hugs, Jo o/
