“Be angry and sin not.”
I struggle with this. Because in my mind all anger is sin. Its not, the Bible clearly states it.
So tell me how does one get angry without sin?

Well… there’s righteous anger — the sort that Jesus demonstrated in the temple…. that’s the obvious example. LOL. I googled a little and found some interesting Bible study links:

That last looks really interesting.
*waves and runs away*
That’s one of those questions we will always struggle with… And always have to check ourselves on, and there is no pat answer I don’t think. The “easy” answer is to say it’s in how you deal with the anger, but then you get into various situations and it’s no longer clear. LOL
it is an area i’m struggling with too.
Well, Jesus got angry…. we should get angry *at* sin not in it. I guess all the things we do as a result are the sin. Like slandering, cursing (not to be confused with swearing), gossiping, and generally bearing a grudge instead of doing whatever it takes to resolve the anger. There is also the warning to not let the sun go down on your wrath… I guess that is just because it’s bound to get worse. Repentance, restoration and reconciliation are always God’s solutions. We have to get over either pride, fear or both to get there though.
Jesus was angry and flipped tables… Remember? You can be angry and not sin and you can be angry and sin… It’s where your free will comes in. That not so fun carnal battle of the flesh and mind.
When you are angry the best solution is to hit your knees (or just shut your eyes a moment) in prayer and ask the Lord to help you be just in your anger and help you handle it in a righteous upstanding way. Taking a few minutes and before reacting is always the best way to prevent sin.
My personal human nature might be to curse, falsely accuse or even slander the person who hurt or angered me. That would be a sin. To get angry at my husband (and justly so) and go drink, then drive, break the law or have an affair because I’m angry would be to be angry and sin. See?
Hugs!!!
