  • Good morning

Its December outside.  Its raining cats & dogs & elephants and freezing cold.

It better be nice in Eastern Washington.  This is ridiculous.

My kids have started negotiating over what they can bring.  "Can I bring these three stuffies?  I wrote my list of what I need."  Etc.  Its all entertaining, and I keep refusing to give into it.  *snicker*

We will be going to Rimrock Lake.  Its about an hour from Yakima and Selah where my sister is currently living.  She found it for us, and said its beautiful.   We'll be there until next Thursday.  Thursday we have Childrens Appointments for Rainee.  Cardiology, and Pulmonology.   When we're done with those we are planning on coming home.  We will still have another week off, but we'll just bumb around here...unless of course we change our mind.  We do that a lot on vacation.  *snicker*

We will be tenting--and eating our own food.  This is a LOW budget trip.  As we have been tight on money for awhile.  But it will still be nice to see some sunshine.  Normally this would be when we went to Idaho to see the 'ils.  But this year we just couldn't afford the gas.

  • Hey!!! I have been reading your posts, but been so busy I have been short on time to comment... but I said today, "I WILL comment my xanga friends!!!"

I hope you are feeling better, I know the past couple posts you have been a little under the weather & feeling blue.

The camping trip sounds SUPER!!! It might be just what you need - a change of pace and scenery often gives me the boost I need.

I hope the weather is better and not wintery.

So, tell me... what all do you guys take for food? We are always low budget LOL... We want to plan a camping trip... so far I have bought a small table top char. grill, water container, and items like that. I know we will need a large cooler, we have our eyes on a new tent, 3 domes in one.

But how do you cook for everyone? Gas cooker? Fire? Do you take cereal type stuff? Breakfast bars? I'm excited to know because we are anxious to go soon... I don't want to starve everyone LOL! Any other camping tips are welomed and wanted too.

  • Have a terrific trip! Yes, Rimrock is beautiful. *waves*

  • It is really HOT in Manitoba!  35 C and a humidex of 43.  You could come visit and warm up here.  Oh yeah, the gas is really expensive.  Oh well, maybe some year.
