  • It was a gorgeous day today.  The kids had great fun boogy boarding down the river.  And mommy had fun taking "sunshine" pictures.  This is a field of buttercups.  Its actually technically supposed to be lawn..but they were so pretty Rob couldn't bare to cut them.  He's a brilliant man.

I had missed the sunshine.  And all of you who keep complaining about the heat--wouldya shut up please.  I'm soooooooooo jealous.

I think that I worship the sun...its cause we see it so rarely.  LOL

It was just soooooooooooooo nice to see the sun.  To lay on the grass and soak up those U.V. rays.  Ooooo could we have two days like that in a row?  PLEASE?  And here's Samuel sunbathing on his boogie board.  The water is still VERY cold, and really not quite ready for swimming, but we keep trying.  *snicker*

Zeria was the one who finally figured out how to float down the river in the "deepest" rapid.  They got a pretty good ride going once they finally figured out what I was trying to tell them to do.  Too cold for me to actually demonstrate yet.

And look I even include one of me.  LOL.  The kids got cold after the river, so they went inside and I went and laid on the grass watching our red hot pokers and the hummingbirds that kept coming to feed on them.  Such a lazy day.

And yes I tried to take a picture of the hummingbirds, but they weren't cooperating.   This picture is as good as it gets.  *giggles*

And one last picture to share that was on my camera from another day.  Its too pretty not to share.  I found this tide pool sometime last week, and it was so clear, and I found this beautiful seaweed, and just stood their and watched the tidepool for over ten minutes.  There was lots of little life in it which I discovered as I watched.  But mostly I was just taken by the transluscent seaweed.  And thrilled to see I managed to catch it with the camera as well.

Anyhow at last phone call about 7:30 Rob was in Bremerton...which means he should be hear about ten.  I'm ready for him to come home.  I miss him big time when he's gone....

This weeks photo blog topic is Windows.  I have no beautiful windows to take pictures of anymore.  I miss my old houses windows soooo very much.  I do have this that I snagged yesterday which amused me.  Its our vans windows as seen through our mirror.

    And this ghost-store window from by-gone days that somehow caught my attention;

This is of my son looking through the window.  I took it in March.  He was absolutely thrilled at the big fluffy flakes of snow coming down.

And this is  three years old, I had a lovely time editing it..rather forgot I had it.

And you know somehow this amuses me...because this is a picture I took of Kaylin when she was Jeremiah's age.   She's 6 now.   And their sooo similar.

  • I shoulda said it would be a long night in the last blog.  Oh my word I'm dragging.

Samuel had a terrific nightmare and came out shaking and crying.  It apparently wore him out as he's still asleep and the tv's on.  He's NEVER asleep when the tv's on.  We've accused him of being secretly wired to the on-button.  He was quite convinced Rob was "never" coming home again.  This is what all of his nightmares are about.  So I called Rob at my brothers house, and Rob talked to him for quite awhile.  Sam fell asleep in my bed shortly thereafter.

Rob said he felt just a bit flattered LOL..

Shortly after I fell asleep from that...

Rainee had a nightmare and Kaylin had a coughing attack.

    I'm so tired.

  • I'm husband free for the next twenty-four hours.  *major bummer*  I like my husband, and unlike my mom when my dad was gone miss him big time.

Its okay I was the one who sent him off.  He's headed in the morning to Yakima.  He and my brother will bomb over in my brothers economy car, and help my sister and brother-in-law unpack.  We helped them pack tonight.

The original plan is our whole family (robs and I's) was going to go over, but money wise that was really really tight.  Karla and Tony said they'd be fine and could manage.  But they had NO clue how much junk they still actually had to move.  I just cringed.  And came up with the brilliant idea that Rob could bomb over there and--help much faster then all of us going, but our van is such a gas hog.   My mom heard the suggestion, and said he could use their car.  My dad overheard the conversation and suggested Joel should go too (my brother).  HE also handed them $100 for gas and meals as his back is just not up to moving pianos anymore.

So no hubby.  *sigh*   It will be a LONG day tomorrow.  He won't be home until at *least* 10 at night....

  • I have two little boys for sell.

    CHEAP.

Jamari won't stop calling Samuel names--and then screaming when Samuel hits him.

Samuel won't stop hitting--and quite frankly I can't blame him.

  • Good morning

    Foggy groggy day today.

The excitement yesterday was a bomb scare up at the prison.  They recieved 9 calls from a computer scrambled voice warning them about it.  Rob is rather glad he wasn't working    One of the calls was to the medical department.  And all of the non-essential staff was locked up in a room for hours (overtime and everything).  They weren't happy.

Jeremiah has discovered mugs.  And is carrying this gigantic Santa Claus mug around hoping I will put pop in it.  He's silly.

I'm actually feeling human today.  *cheers*  Its an amazing concept somehow.
