  • I have a sinus headache today, and I've been up since 5 am compliments of Jeremiah.  I tried to get back to sleep but it was fitful at best.

This morning Jeremiah walked all the way down to the lama field climbed through the gate, and was headed who knows where.  Rob found him somewhat quickly.  And now we need to be doubly alert to where he goes.

    So.

I headed to the bathroom with my lovely sinus headache.  And when I got done I thought oh I need to make sure I check on Jeremiah I haven't seen him in a bit.  I looked out the windows for where he usually is and couldn't find him.  I was just beginning to panic...

When I remembered I'd laid him in his crib for a nap about fifteen minutes ago.

    its possible I'm tired today.

  • The good thing is that the fog you have been in all day does go away someday when the kids get older and actually sleep on their own ALL NIGHT.  Yes, it does happen eventually.  For some people it happens sooner than others.  Our bed is empty of kiddos about 90% of the time now- Nicole is 4 1/2.  She has figured out that magic hour (around 5:30 a.m.) and comes and curls in with me (I am too sound asleep to tell her to go back to her own bed).  I am realizing that this phase will be over soon too and part of me will miss it.

  • Ahhhhh..... we are sisters in mommyhood!!!

I have to do head counts and double checks ... I search with my keys while they are in my hand, I call the kids by different names or go through the list before I get to the correct one...and yes, I panic while searching for someone before suddenly remembering that they went with their dad to the store, are napping, or upstairs... Get some rest! It helps! HEHE!

    Gavin is 15 - almost 16 months.

    :)

Hope you are feeling better today.
    K~
