On a none-easter front.

My parents have found us a guest house. A man who owns a tract of land next to a tract of land my father owns has a little single wide modular he wants to get rid of.  Its in excellent condition, firm foundation, and has recently had 98% of the sheetrock replaced in it.  The guy wants it gone off the property.  My parents have very much been wanting to build/place something on our property so they can have a run-away place.  Yes our property is that gorgeous.  LOL

So, my mom is finding someone to haul it out, and we're going to set it up over beside the river.

                                                     

It will need a new roof in the next year or two, but so does what we're living in, so we'll do it all at the same time.  It also needs a toilet--for $69.  *Snigger*

All in all its a major blessing from God, and we are thrilled.    We believe strongly God provided this property for us to use as a sanctuary, and we now have other ways besides camping to offer it up to those who need a "free" break.

Good morning

Easter ended up being relaxed and fun.  Nobody was in a hurry to leave, and we all just rather veged watching our kiddos gorge themselves on candy.  The only awkward moments were the first 45 seconds, at which point my sister almost got offended, but she shook it off, and we moved on.

We hid our easter eggs, and then sent all the cousins out a hunting.  They had to look fast cause my moms dogs decided they should hunt, and ate about 6 of the hard boiled eggs, and several of the plastic ones.  *Snigger*  Ahh well, their was entirely too much candy to go around anyhow.  *snigger*

Anyhow here's Rainee Grace finding a easter egg--conveniently located in a nest that grandma's kids had found and brought home.  

 

We went to our old church, I don't know it wasn't anything special it just was.   I didn't feel vindicated, or miss it, it was just something to do.  *shrugs*  I was slightly amused that the nursery is not being taken care of, is not monitored, and has nobody in charge.  I guess I was right.  *Snigger*  Apparently I was doing a much better job after all.  Or it was more work to run a nursery then the lady who pitched the temper tantrum originally   thought.  (Tried to tell her that LOL)

And here's Jamari telling me he has no desire to pose for a picture when theirs candy hiding all over the place.  (silly mom)

 

My brother is getting ready to take his finals for fire-fighting school.  (My biological brother)  He and his wife have seen little of each other for the last 3 months.  As a result he ate, and headed back to the academy which is across the strait (about a 4 hour drive).  He is very much looking forward to starting his new job.  He will be working one 24 hour shift, and then two 48 hour shifts off.   It will add up to 9 days of work a month.  It will bring him approximately twice what we was getting at the private paramedic company he was working at.  

And here we have Kaylin in her Easter dress.  It looked so pretty on her.

 

My mom's favorite dress was Zeria's.  She said it was causing dejavu.   She was sure she had worn something similar at some point in her life, because of it.  Which is quite possible.  I got all the dresses on ebay over the last couple months, and was quite pleased with them.  Rainee's was the cheapest at $4 LOL.  Zeria's I ended up spending a fair amount for, but she LOVES it, and it fits her extremely well, so its okay.  And Zeria had to have me get that egg, climbing up the stump in her dress probably wasn't a good idea.  *snicker*

 

Jeremiah was a goof ball, and much more content to play with the rocks then pick up easter eggs.  Next year he'll finally click into easter eggs.  But in the meantime, when we finally convinced him to pick up one out of the alder tree--all he wanted to do was throw it.  *Snigger*  I ducked shortly after I took this picture. 

Jeremiah likes to throw.  A lot.  Okay its his main hobby.   And it gets him in trouble.  He beaned Rainee with an egg this morning. 

 

Samuel felt rather like Jamari did about posing.  He was NOT NOT impressed.  But I did snag this video of him, and no it wasn't rehearsed I just turned it on so I could catch him doing it cause it was too cute.

Easter  Finery.

Okay so we're not all smiling.  Rainee's having a hard day today, she didn't go to bed until 10:30 last night, and smiles are hard to find.  But hey we're all looking at the camera--which is a major accomplishment with 8.  LOL

                                            

 

Good morning.

Christ the Lord is Risen, He is Risen Indeed.

Rainee Grace was properly spoiled yesterday, and quite cheerful about it.  And goofy.  I tried to take a "nice" picture of her read "normal" in her birthday outfit.  She wasn't exactly cooperative.  She was too busy being cheeeeeeezy.  But tis okay she's cute anyhow.

 

Have the easter buckets loaded in the van, as well as my niece's birthday present.  We are headed to our "old" church for Easter Service, and then to my parents.   It should be  loud hectic, and chaotic.  LOL   Tis okay we haven't been all together since Christmas, so we'll survive.  Man it sucks that its down to holidays with my family all of a sudden.

Ahh well this too shall be survived LOL.  Actually I love my family, I just get exhausted after all of them together in one place.  YOu know 30 people small house, LOUD voices.  *snicker*   Of course, I don't help since I bring 8 of the 30.

Okay, so his story is a bit bizarre, but giggles it was fun.

We are celebrating Rainee's birthday today, even though its actually Wednesday. She got those little Castle things, and a bunch of Princesses. This is daddy helping her play.

I'll do a Rainee blog on her actual birthday.

The community is having an Easter Egg hunt at 11, we're hoping to go. And I think Boo-Boo (Rainee) mentioned something about wanting to go to a beach. Other then that its a day to spoil the one whose worked so hard to live.

This weeks photo challenge is birds.  I've never done well with taking pictures of birds--they move too fast, and I'm never ready.  I did have a really superb one of a bird that visited our feeder all last summer, but its on the other computer, and I so can't find it on the disks.  *growl* 

I was at the beach this morning however knowing what the topic was, and took this

                                                          

I rather like it as it sums up the freedom of birds, and my envy of watching them up their soaring in the wind. 

 

 

Good morning

It appears to have stopped raining.  We reverted to winter yesterday and acquired probably eight inches of rain.  Our yard had almost dried out enough to mow.  Oh well.

I just read the forecast...100% chance of rain today.  The rain stoppage is apparently temporarily.  Ahh well, Jeremiah will be very very sad when the puddles disappear this summer, we wouldn't want him sad now would we? 

Rainee Grace's birthday is on Wednesday.  We will be celebrating tomorrow.  It was tomorrow or next Friday.  If I have to answer "When's my birthday, How many more days to my birthday," I'll go nutso, so I'm saying tomorrow.  LOL

And this is a rather bla blog.  My brain is dead this morning.  The tide is super low this morning, so we will head out there and enjoy the beach. 

I showed my kids yesterday what books they have to get done before we can have summer break.  We've done quite well, and I definitely want a break this summer.   I told them if they did extra work during the afternoon etc I would pay them for finishing their books.   If they finish them during school hours no go.   When x amount of workbooks are done for each we are done.  I'm aiming for the middle of May.   We will start back up in August.   Samuel will be the last one done....because well money didn't inspire him, and he usually is anyhow.

Oh dear Naked Boy running around my house Going AAAAA AAAAA.  It's a monster.
