And yes the dog lifted his leg in that first video. *snicker* But its still kinda fun to watch.

I played with my favorite picture of Jeremiah on PSP and am quite happy with the results.

  • Good morning

It was a busy day yesterday as you saw.  And today is hopefully business as usual.  We will do school, and a bit of yard work, and maybe sneak to the beach as its sooooooooo beautiful out there.

The logger came out and took the big tree down, and oh man was that sucker rotten.  BIG time rotten.  Its amazing it was still up in the air.  LOL  Which it was just barely up there.   The kids think its a great play place, and they were climbing all over it.  It is currently sitting in the middle of my circle driveway.  *sigh*  Our new friends from church will come get it for firewood.

This is the tree as Sherman starts to cut it.  Poor guy its a antique tree, seems a shame to have to bring it down.  I will say however it sure brought more light into my yard when it went.  You can see how bad it was leaning in that picture.  Its the tree behind the blue object in the picture btw.

And this is the tree half way down.  My kids were highly impressed by the "boom" it made when it landed.  And ironically Rob missed it all as he'd run to the grocery store for a minute.

And this is a picture of the butt you can sure tell why it was having issues staying right-side up.  It was a nursling tree in that it grew in a older trees stump.  The problem was is it started growing about 10 feet off the ground.  And so as the older tree's stump got more and more rotten it was a LONG way from dirt to keep it stable.

Maybe someday the stump will nurse another one huh?  That would be cool.  In the meantime my children think its the newest playtoy in the yard.

There's one other tree that I want down, and another tree my dad wants down.  The one my dad wants down is still healthy, it just happens to be another nursling tree.  Its not in danger of hitting the house, or leaning.  So, for now I'm gonna hum and pretend that its "safe".   The one in my close-up yard is DEAD/dying.   I really really want it gone.   The good news is its leaning away from the house.   Hopefully dad can do it quite soon.

  • Sights that make you stop for a second, take another look and make you hold your breath with joy or gasp in appreciation.

    The photo blog challenge

Every so often you get an accidental superb shot that just makes you go wow how did I do that?

This one of Jeremiah was one of those.

This one taken hiking last summer.  Although not necessarily the perfect photo is perfect for me, as its all of my family doing what we love the most.

And the last one I worked for years to capture.  This flower is smaller then a quarter, and I managed with my Kodak easy share to capture all the detail of it.

  • I shouldn't be amused by this.  And you shouldn't be suprised by it.

I think I see a scrapbook page developing.  How many places we got the white van stuck over its life time.

The good news;  nobody was hurt including the van.

The bad news;  it happened over 5 miles off of the main road.

The good news;  there were two men getting firewood with two pick-up trucks about 3/4's of a mile away.

The bad news;  Rob had to walk that to get there LOL

The good news;  I have a sense of humor.

    The goofiness from yesterday

  • Moving along

We are in the land of the living.  All of us.  *cheers*

Rainee has pneumonia, and sounds awful.  Zeria has asthma/cough and sounds awful.  But these two generally keep their colds for awhile, and Rainee with pneumonia is like saying oh Rainee fell down.

Okay I'm worried about her, but considering the last three weeks of bugs, I'm not as worried as I should be.

My parents are coming over to see the floor.  The house is sparkling clean.  And I can absolutely guarantee beyond a shadow of a doubt my mother will find something that needs fixed.  Its just a necessity with her.

The rest of the visit will be fun, and delightful, but what I will remember is the "criticque".   Mothers have this power you know...that just never goes away.  Something for me to remember as I continue on in my job.

I will probably cry after she leaves, or vent to my poor, poor DH.  And then we will move on.

But the rest of the visit will be fun, and I haven't seen/visited with my mom in way too long.  So, I'll endure, and continue on.

And scurry around the house finding invisible dust mites, and give myself an ulcer between now and then.  LOL

  • I think...

    I may live.  LOL

I'm starting to come over to the other side of the bug.  I'm still very shaky, and not hungry, but I think I shall live.

The floor is essentially done.  There's two spots Rob is hoping to tweak so they look a bit better, and we need to purchase the protector things that go between floor types which I hope to go get tomorrow.  Other then that its done.  *cheers*

    And it looks lovely.

I managed to drag myself around enough to get the stuff back into the China Cabinet, and dung out my bedroom so its my bedroom again.  *yeah*

And I bossed the kids into cleaning--all this while wishing I could just keel over and die.  LOL

I was in a de-junk mode, and I have a box full of stuff to go to the dumpster--I suppose I should save it for Goodwill, but its not in great condition, and I just want it GONE.

I also chucked about 15-20 paperbacks.   You know the kind you buy on impulse from a grocery store, and get half way through and can't finish...cause there just DUMB.  LOL

I used to make myself finish them, but time is too precious these days.  So, I'll peak to the back and if their totally stupid adios I go.

I am a week overdo in grocery shopping, so thats what I hope to accomplish tomorrow, provided I'm still feeling somewhat okay.

And in theory my parents are coming out on Saturday to see the floor and have a picnic at the river with us.  (provided the weather cooperates)  So, busy busy.

I am soooooooo glad to get my projects done, cause its finally feeling like this house is mine, rather then somebody elses.

I'm sorry I'm slowing people down on the boards, but some day I shall be right side up, as well as all of my family, and not busy in real life.  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • The second round of plague got me.  So, I'll be back when I can sit up without running to the toilet.

  • This amuses me somehow;

    The Resistance
Achtung! You are 38% brainwashworthy, 13% antitolerant, and 47% blindly patriotic
Welcome to the Resistance (Der Widerstand)! You believe in freedom, justice, equality, and your country, and you can't be converted to the the dark side.

Breakdown: your Blind Patriotism levels are borderline unhealthy, but you show such a love of people from everywhere and a natural resistance to brainwashing, you would probably focus your energy to fight the Fuehrer with furor, so to speak.

Conclusion: born and raised in Germany in the early 1930's, you would have taken up ARMS against the oppressors. Or even your friends' oppressors. Congratulations!

Less than 5% of all test takers earn a spot in the Resistance!
