Month: March 2006

  • I hurt my back today.  It's been spotty all weekend, but finally gave out.  The chiro will be called first thing tomorrow, first I need to survive tonight.

Two robaxxin and a pillow or calling my name.

    Can't you hear them?

It was an extremely profitable weekend however.  I managed to clean out our closet, and finally get it truely organized--something that had never been done since the move.

And I managed to do the same thing to the laundry room.

Okay so now you know why my back is *really* out.  LOL  I didn't do any lifting--had dh do that, but did a lot of funky twisting.

Oh, and I also got all the videos back in their jackets--something we hadn't done since before the move.  They  live in a trunk/basket thingy anyhow so I just crammed them in and away we went.  LOL  But their all nice and neat again.

I don't know where the major burst of energy came from.  But man I'm greatful for small favors.

Along with the cleaning of our side yard yesterday, things are looking a lot more like home now.

My next project is to paint the kids hallway.  It shouldn't take that long, and it will look sooooooooo much cleaner in the long run.  Eventually I will be doing a castle on the larger of the two walls in there.  For now I'll settle for clean.  LOL

And man xanga is STILL not letting me load pictures.  I think I shall be sending a note off.  Three days is ridiculous.

  • Good morning.

I am attempting to use freecycle to give something(s) away for the first time.  Its a lot overwhelming all of a sudden LOL.  I have about 6 picnic tables, and multiple fire pits.  I originally thought it was more picnic tables then that.  And wow they were grabbed like hotcakes, and i was left going umm wait who responded first, how do I remember who was who.  And *argle*

I'm excited the tables are getting good homes, and not clogging my property, but oh my word, this isn't as easy as I thought it would be somehow.  LOL

And then there's of course the issue that we live in the hinter lands, so directions are getting to be entertaining.  LOL

We had a gorgeous, beautiful wonderful day yesterday.  In the morning we went for a long drive up in the mountains exploring some more forest service roads.  I drove this time *snigger*.   And we didn't get stuck.  *cheers*  We did however discover like 15 lovely little waterfalls.  So beautiful.  Just little streams bubbling off the cliffs.   Everything was just so green and delicious.

We came home, and Rob took a nap, still trying to fight off his cold, and the kids and I finally got around to moving a load of junk that was off to the side of the house left compliments of the previous owner.  Man they were slobs.  The house was left so spotlessly clean, but the yard.  UGH.  Everytime I look I find another pile of junk buried under blackberry vines.

And this man thought he could sale this as commercial property.  Commercial property does NOT have garbage on it--everywhere.  LOL.

I'm extremely frustrated with xanga at the moment, I still can't upload pictures.

When Rob woke up I took a nap, and he made dinner for the kids.  When I woke up, we decided we needed another drive.  LOL  And we headed out to Neah Bay, to watch the sunset on the ocean.   Not the strait the Ocean.  And oh it was so beautiful.     And freeeeeeeezing cold.  LOL

    But still beautiful.

  • Darn xanga I want to share my pictures!!!!  At least my background and header are back now.

Its been a fun day, and the family we invited had a good time.  I wish his wife could have been here, but tis okay we still enjoyed chatting with them.

Samuel however has been overstimulated and is just wigging.  The dog walked into his room and he screamed bloody murder and started sobbing.   *sigh*  He's also complaining of a headache, and stomache ache.  I'm very very much hoping he isn't getting a bug, and its just over stimulation.

The major funny of the night;  Ricky our dog kept umm humping Brian the 9 year old boy.  We scolded him, and kicked him out of the house a couple times.  So, the kids were all back in the bedrooms, and suddenly the kids start giggling and Brian comes out to his dad and says.  "Ricky was doing that thing again.  And Rainee said "I see his pink thing its coming out."   *argle*  Time for some more sex ed apparently.    Why do kids have to do these things in company huh?

    *snicker*

And no no loady picture.  *dang* it all

I do have a video however.   I completely forgot I had video form until after we sang.  LOL  But then quickly snagged Kaylin blowing out her candles.  And yes birthdays are very serious business.  We must concentrate, and never let mom know we are excited when the important part of birthdays happen.  (roll eyes)

She actually had a major pit moment this morning.  And got in trouble *growl*  I asked her over a month ago what she wanted.  She told me.  I asked her several times over the course of that time double checking, and she continued to agree that's what she wanted.

And then I said.  "Do you like your gift?"  And she said.  "I wanted such & so."  Which she never once mentioned, and besides that--umm RUDE!!!!!!

Okay so probably I shouldn't have asked the question, but *sigh*.  And then she started crying cause she didn't get the other gift.  Which is when she got a time-out to her bedroom where she was informed she had 5 minutes to get greatful--or she was loosing the rest of her pressies.

*sigh*  The rest of the day however she was delightful, so I guess I shall be greatful for small favors.

Oh and its very quiet in that video--I think that must of been the only time all night.  Cause the rest of the night my ears were ringing--SO SO SO LOUD!!  LOL

  • And its Kaylin Joy's birthday today.  So, I won't be online, cause she's more important.  *grin*

    And getting spoiled rotten.

I was gonna put up a picture, but apparently xanga isn't allowing that.

    She is six today.

  • This weeks photo challenge is hosted by wicked goodgal

The subject is Things with patterns

The second I heard the topic i knew what my inspiration would be, and I was pretty sure I even had one that was worthy of sharing.

My daughter loves color.  She's just failed utterly to understand that just because color matches, the patterns don't.   And you know, in spite of them not matching she still looks adorable.  And I will be sad the last time I can snag a picture like this, because it will mean an era has passed.

  • I'm looking for a good handwriting font, for making my own handwriting worksheets.

I have Jardotty, but I don't like the way some of the letters are formed on that any suggestions?

  • Good morning

I haven't advertised the book I have on my list in quite awhile.  It goes well with my blog I did last night.

I highly, strongly recommend it to anyone with a child who has some form of health issue.  Wether it be asthma, diabetes, exczema, or add.  Its just a hand up.  Its not about dealing with a specific disease.  Its about allowing yourself to feel for yourself and your child.  Its about praying, and trusting God through it, etc.

    Its superb.

I had fun at the stores yesterday.  LOL  I found a perfect little table thing to set up my scrapbooking on.  I wanted a place I could leave a book open and come back to it.    I also found a identical stand up lamp to the one I already have.  At Goodwill for $5.   LOL

So I finally have the light fixtures I need in the living room.  I hate living in the dark.

I also have writing utensils for school again.  We had to literally scower the whole house yesterday to find three.   And I was almost to the point we were gonna have to run to the local store and spend way too much just so they could write.  *growls*

Other then that life moves on.

Oh and Tracy?  I suspect Rainee's lung function is very similar to yours.   LOL.   I know it was very bad when she was tiny, but she's a bit young to be able to take them the way big kids do.  And the irony of Zeria's test.  Is she DIDN"T have asthma when she was being tested.   She was breathing fine, and sounded fine.  Which is the part that boggled me.

  • Okies I would like to have more then a few nasty words to the person who said the power never goes out here.

    Okies I'm just grumpy.  LOL

    VERY VERY VERY grumpy.

I think the aunt is about to visit.  Can I slit her throat?  The Aunt Flo I mean.

Anyhow we were without power from 11 o'clock last night until 9 this morning.

We heard a big BOOM, and then a flash.  We just assumed it was another major power surge and didn't call it in.

So, this morning we hit the store and they had power.  But knew that a few out this way were without.  So, Rob finally called about 8.

NOBODY had reported it, we were all waiting for someone else to.

The pud guys were out quite quickly and had it fixed in about a half hour.  In the meantime...dark is depressing.  LOL

We started school with no electricity and in the gray.  Can we just say EWWWW???

    LOL

Samuel and I had some issues with school today.  But he *gasp* managed to get all of his work done the first time in 3 days.  And no I'm not setting him a lot of work.  He just gets very very antsy, and flakes out on me.  And then my mommy patience runs out, and we have to eat lunch, and he flakes out, and never gets back to it.

Mommy was determined she was going to win today, and she did.  But oh man was it hard to be that cute smiling mommy, instead of the one that wanted to do mean nasty things to her son.

Its amazing how much one doubts themselves in this teaching gig.  I had to walk into the bathroom and close the door and hide breathing hard.   And then I had to talk to Rob about it.   And then I had to breathe some more.  LOL

I waver so constantly between am I pushing them too hard, or is he not getting it, or is he just being a twit, and getting away with it.   Such self-doubt.  *argle*

  • Quiet day today, sure enjoyed the beach this morning.  I had two "normal" pictures to show of that too.

I got this sweatshirt for Samuel at the rummage sale for .25 cents a couple weeks ago, and I don't know why but I just love how he looks in it.

He was also feeling rather cheezy in front of the camera today.  LOL

Samuel is all boy, and has his many, many moments that he's much scarier then Galen a charrie I write with on the boards.  The other day when he got the butcher knife and decided to see what would happen if he stabbed it in the wall, that was high on the list, of oh my word what am I in for.

But you know under that boy, that totally mischieveous bugger is the most sweet and loving kiddo.   And that's what make me avoid killing him.  *snicker*

He and I have been making it a point of cuddling on the bed and reading outloud for 25 minutes in "boy" books in the evenings.  It is something I've been wanting to do, but couldn't figure out how to fit in.  Finally I just said *this* has to be a priority.

We did it last night and he "bragged" about it to dad.  *grin*  We're not reading fast, and he's still struggling a lot.  But I sure like snuggling with him on my bed, and apparently he did too.

  • Jamari apparently got worn out at the beach this morning.  I just found him like this;

    Giggles
