  • Voice of Truth;  Casting Crowns

    Oh what I would do to have
    The kind of faith it takes
    To climb out of this boat I'm in
    on to the crashing waves

    To step out of my comfort zone
    Into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is
    And He's holding out His hand

    But the waves are calling out my name
    And they laugh at me
    Reminding me of all the times
    I've tried before and failed
    The waves they keep on telling me
    Time and time again. "Boy, you'll never win!"
    "You'll never win!"

    Chorus:
    But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
    The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
    And the Voice of Truth says, "This is for My glory"
    Out of all the voices calling out to me
    I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth

    Oh what I would do to have
    The kind of strength it takes
    to stand before a giant
    With just a sling and a stone

    Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors
    Shaking in their armor
    Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

    But the giant's calling out my name
    And he laughs at me
    Reminding me of all the times
    I've tried before and failed
    The giant keeps on telling me
    Time and time again. "Boy you'll never win!"

    But the stone was just the right size
    To put the giant on the ground
    And the waves they don't seem so high
    On top of them lookin' down
    I will soar with the wings of eagles
    When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
    Singing over me

    Chorus:
    But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
    The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
    And the Voice of Truth says, "This is for My glory"
    Out of all the voices calling out to me (calling out to me)
    I will choose to listen and believe-

    I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth

    I will listen and believe
    I will listen and believe the Voice of truth
    I will listen and believe
    Cause Jesus you are the voice of truth
    And I will listen to you, you are-

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I scared myself today, and I listened to lies in my head.   I lost my focus, and suddenly missing shoes became more important then so many other things.
    I'm taking an online break.   I can't say when I'll be back.  It might be tomorrow.  It might be never.   I'm doing some serious praying.   And as I drove into town in between tears, and fears.  This song came on on the radio.  I'm in the process of downloading it on another window.  Man it hit me over the head, and between the eyes.
    God gave it to me.
    And then at my chiropractors.  Remember she's a childhood friend?  She listened to me, and I didn't share all, just some.  She massaged, adjusted, and then she had me sit down, and she prayed with me.
    The rest of the day was a lot of fun.  The kids and I enjoyed ourselves, we had our Cubbies closing ceremony, and we had some good giggles on the way home.
    My number one priority in my life is my God.
    My number two priority is my husband.
    My number three priority are my children.
    I've completely lost track of the priorities.  And things are going to change.  Period.  God has forgiven my burst of anger, and so has my very very generous son.   And so I'll be back, or not.
  • **tears for you** So close to home! Praying God refreshes your spirit on your break from the computer and that He gives you the "all clear" to return to us someday. You'll be GREATLY missed.
  • i completly understand. praying God would refocus you!
  • {{{{{{{{I'm sending you HUGE giant Cyber hugs!!!}}}}}}
    I have been there done that and took a long cyber break to regroup my home and find balance I had lost, as you know with a big family and homschooling, that can happen in the blink of an eye!
    I had to find that balance again and make sure everything was in order here at home with the family & children, school., etc... then I had 'me' time... which you have to make for yourself... even 10 minutes here and there... I know you enjoy your photography, writing, how about scrap booking journal style while your away? I just bought some plain cheap scrap books to use for the latest family outings,  little journal descriptions next to each ... Or you can grab the book, Small Beginings, it's wonderful!!! :) MAKE TIME FOR YOU while you are working so hard to be there for everyone. It is a must! :)
    Hugs and Prayers!!! Pray 1st, lean on Jesus, then listen to that still small voice... and everything will be just fine!
  • That is a wonderful song -- of course Casting Crowns is absolutely wonderful period.
    Do take care. *waves and sends a hug*
  • *hugs* Take care! We will support you and pray for you no matter what.
  • Beautiful lyrics.....gotta luv Casting Crowns!!!
    God Bless You....praying for you.....Enjoy your  time w/ your family.......
  • take care of yourself - love yourself as God loves you - find your center and your focus - but stay in touch if you can - i'll miss you!
