Month: February 2006

  • Very cool, I've been watching a bid for several days.  And I won it...below my maximum bid, and now have clothes for Zeria for quite awhile--shoot I may save some of them for my growing like a weed Kaylin.

I tried for some other jeans, but didn't do so hot, some lady paid $46 dollars for 2 pairs of "name brand" jeans.  I stopped bidding at $25.  And I thought it was silly for me to bid that high.  Just silly.   I've never been a name brand kinda girl...the onlly reason I went that high is they were "cute"  *snicker*  Had the adorable embroidery on them.   Who pays $46 for used clothes???  Ponders that mystery for awhile.

Very uncool;  We cleaned out the van this morning.  Jer was sitting on the front seat watching us.  He thought it was very cool.   And then he scooted right over to the end where both doors were wide open for the operation of dunging out the rat-trap.  I pushed him back and said.  "You be careful dude, your going to fall there."

And walked back to the back of the van.  He wasn't.  About 30 seconds later I heard shmack and screaming.  *sigh*  This kid and Samuel are so related.  Samuel spent most of the first three years of his life with a concussion, or big goose-egg on his head.  jer has now got his first concussion.

And mommy, shall be watching him like a hawk.  And no I didn't  take him in.  The doctors policy is if he comes up screaming he's okay.  He did.   But, he *will* not be taking naps longer then an hour without me poking him.  And he will be sleeping in bed with us tonight.  *sigh*   Just scarey.

    Angels are a good thing.

My parents are driving out tonight to watch Samuel and Zeria play bball, and eat pizza afterwards.  It sounds fun to me

  • Long, busy day.

Lots of work accomplished.  A lot of the things we've been "dreaming" about getting done in the yard are.  Lots of wood burnt, the winter storm damaged cleaned up--until the next one.  The greater yard mowed which hadn't been done by the previous land owner for a long time.  Little pieces of junk they left here and there buried in the grass removed.   This picture shows the kids and there fort.  The sun shines here more then anywhere else.  And as a result they have made this pile of rails a great place to cuddle.

Our property is kid paradise.  Its got all these little campground loops, and the kids bike, and bike, and bike.  Rob could start a biking shop, the kids bikes are getting used so much, and require repairs fairly frequently as my kids continue to try extreme biking.   Samuel and Zeria being the worst.  Kaylin and Jamari have only within the last month mastered the art of pedalling.

The kids would run around and play, and bike, and haul wood for us, or whatever small things we could have them take to the dumpster, and then migrate back to the rail pile for a cuddle.

I haven't told them yet, but I want that pile moved, as its in my "close" yard, and I'd rather it move back towards the garage.  They won't be impressed.  *snicker*

This picture is just so Kaylin.  At 5 she is still a blanky baby, and that lovely index finger.   Mommy figures she'll grow out of it some day.  *Snicker*

This view was for role-playing.  It inspired me somehow, the forests, and elves, and so on.  Its a unique angle, but fun

And finally a three way view of my yard from standing on my deck.   The "back" yard anyhow.  We actually own way way more.  But this is what I can see from the window.  And yes, I fully recognize how blessed we are for having this.  We still can't believe God gave this to us.  It was on the market for 4.5 years and nobody saw the potential.

We have a HUGE stump/tree in our close-up yard inside the picket fence, which makes it a bit tricky to take the pictures.  I need to stand on the far end of the driveway and look back towards the house another day.   But basically this is what I see when I look out of the window by my computer.   (the one above I mean)

The other side of the tree/yard.

And one other angle.  I think I could take a thousand pictures and not begin to let you see the beauty of this area.  And oh man when the leaves come out, gonna be so much better.  And the flower in the background...those are silk.  *snicker*  They were a housewarming gift at my old house, and have stayed looking nice a long time.

So Dee, theirs a motel 5 minutes away...which overlooks the ocean.  Your welcome to come out any time.  Actually I should just come drive and kidnap you, so you can't get scared driving.  *grin*   Actually your all welcome.  Bring a tent, or camp on the floor.  There's room.  *grin*

  • Taking a walk through memory lane;

I went to find out when I did my first post at Bardic Web.

December 26, 2002 if anyones intrested.  *snicker*

And I still have this buried in there

I think I've been at xanga for awhile.

  • If you are ever feeling sorry for yourself.  Or wonder if life is throwing you a lemon.  Just type in your states name, and adoption.  And go look at the list of kids waiting for a forever home.

But if you do...be prepared to weep.  For you know, thats just wrong.

And I was finding homes in my head for kiddos.  I found two adorable little boys  for Zvanzivous spare bedroom.  Finances are btw no longer an issue in adoption, especially in Oregon.  Oregon has FANTASTIC adoption policys...I know my kiddos came from there.

I found a reason for Dee not to be lonesome.

And a project for my 'ils who are still quite healthy.  She is 14 years old, and looking for "grandparents" to help her raise her son.  She lives in SE Idaho (where they are) and would like to stay there.  Man.

Anyone else feeling lonely?  I can find someone for you.

  • So, my kids are stupid.  I believe I mentioned this before.   The last time I went to use my camera the batterys were dead.  This very much suprised me, as I hadn't used it much, and they had just been put in.  I groused about it to DH, and moved on.  So, today I went to load the pictures that were on it, and found 40 pictures on it that I didn't take.  A lot of them were black.   This one however...is rather revealling.  Cause I only have one kiddo that looks like that.  *Snicker*

So, I guess we will refer to this as the Princess' first self-portrait.

  • And the lazy-way to go...I kept racking my brain for kid friendly food, and wasn't getting any inspiration.  Its payday, but I'm planning on waiting until tomorrow to show as then I can it sans kiddos.  LOL

We have meat in the freezer, but not a lot of extras.  So, the result?  I ordered pizza to pick up at 5 tonight.

This is a two minute drive to pick up, versus a 35 minute drive to get grocerys.  And besides they make very very very nummy pizza.

We have budgeted in ONE eat-out a week, which has replaced our ONE date night a week, so we even have money.  I'm so good.

    *giggles*

And its BEAUTIFUL outside again.  But only 42.  So, coat weather LOL

And Becky the Pacific Northwest weather is extremely mild.  The standing joke is we have two seasons.  Wet and Dry.  And they can come and go at anytime.  We will quite often go all winter without a snow storm, but sometimes will have up to a week of snow.  This of course brings out the idiot drivers in spades.

Up on the mountain we had much more snow, but that was due to elevation, and once it came, it not going away.  The season off the foothills is much milder.  And eyeing my plants I think we're about 4 weeks ahead of what we would be in Eden Valley.

  • The good news is my desk is the most organized I think its probably ever been.

The bad news is the reason I organized it (looking for Jer's pictures)  didn't work.  I still can't find them.  And I *know* I've handled them since we moved.  *scratches* head.

    **edit**

I found em.  And I'm all organized to scrap.  *cheers*

  • Good morning.

I must have that energy I had yesterday still.    Cause I've already been in my closet getting three boxes of books for Zeria to unpack, and two boxes of scrapbooks.  I think we have one more book of boxes to undo, and then everything is completely unpacked.

I still have corners of the house I would like a bit better organized, like they were in my old house, but one thing at a time.

I finally finished a scrapbook, so wanted the other one that was *almost* finished.  (Jers baby book)

Each of my kiddos has a very nice baby book.  After that their gonna have to pay for their own copies of pictures.  LOL

Although probably what will happen is at some point I will take a deep breathe and continue on in that process.  But to maintain individual albums for 6 ,kiddos is very very expensive not to mention extremely overwhelming.  So, at least they have  a VERY nice scrapbook.

And Jer's officially a year old which is what I scrapbooked for the others, so I would like to finish his, so I can go back to tackling my old photos.

The album I finished was pictures of me from birth-2nd grade.  The album turned out really nice, and I was quite excited about it.

The next album I will do will be me from 3rd-7th grade.  I started taking pictures in the 3rd grade with my parents camera, and then with a teensy little thing they bought me, so I have quite a bit more in that time period.  And in the middle of the 7th grade I moved.  So the time break makes sense.

My college pictures are completely organized as I did that at the time, and their in "safe" albums.  So those are ok.  My high school pictures are in the magentized ones, so I would like to get those out onto something else.  But they are also organized.

I also am trying to maintain a family scrapbook, and am about two years behind on that.  The hope is to eventually photocopy the family copy and give it to all the kids.  (EVENTUALLY--you know when they each turn 30 )  So, lots of projects.

I've been surfing ebay and looking at scrapbooking stuff, and I really can't justify that until I actually use some of the supplies I have.  *giggles*

Kaylin's birthday is taken care of in style thanks to Ebay.  She asked for My Little Ponys, and man does she have them.  I just might have gone overboard...ya know that whole can't resist a deal thing?

My sis and bil are coming over for dinner for the first time since we moved tonight.  I am going to try very very hard to not overdo it today so I can enjoy them.  But its sunny outside, and the weeds are calling, and lots of otherthings.  So, we shall see what wins.  Not to mention the house needs a bit of tidying so we don't scare them too badly.  Although Rob has promised he will do that when he gets home.  So, life.

Busy, and hectic, and so much more fun when the sun is shining!!

  • I have entirely too much energy today, its amazing what 4 days of no rain, and 3 days of sunshine although still in the high 30's (so COLD)  will do for you.

I have mowed the lawn, weeded, and when DH got home inspired him to replace the pickets that were missing on our fence.  My little close yard is greatly improved.  We also hauled off *some* of the branches that fell over the weekend.  They are all out of the close yard, the farther out yard...well thats gonna take awhile.  LOL

Anyhow my first daffodil is blooming.  *cheers*  It opened this afternoon.   And I keep finding treasures in the garden.  Lots of columbines just raising their heads.  TONS of primroses blooming, and lots of baby ones trying to grow.  Tulips starting to sprout green, and daylillies coming out the wazoo.  Any one want some?? LOL

And about 30 other plants I don't recognize yet.  This lady did such a marvelous job of planting.  So so much better then the last two houses I bought.  Both of those had essentially nothing in them, and I did all the work.

This has a TON of shrubs.  Rhodadendrums, Lilacs, Hydrangea, and several I have no idea what they are.  My sister is coming out tomorrow for dinner armed with her flower book.  We're hoping to identify a bit more between us.  And oh, I found chives, and cilantro lurking next to the door.  At least I think that's cilantro...it might be parsley they look a lot alike.  I apparently *didn't* leave all of my herbs behind.  I have a MAJOR rosemary bush blooming elsewhere which I have harvested on several occasions.

It feels like spring.  I will have much disgust when the rain comes back, but I guess thats why Pacific NOrthwesters appreciate blue so much more.  *snicker*

  •

And I made it easier.  I copied them to my computer ROFL, and put them all together in one graphic.  Four of them have rooms to show what they look like in bigger picture.

    HELP me *snicker*

Oh, P.S.  click on the graphic to get it big enough so you can actually see the little stinkers.
