Month: February 2006

  • What a nice way to interupt the grumps.  My bestfriend from high school called, and she's finally living stateside again.  Three states away, but at least we're in the same country again.

Ever since she and her hubby got married they've been wanting to do this  and God has finally allowed them to.  I'm so excited for them.

Its involved a lot of sacrifices.  They've sold there house, are living in the middle of nowhere, after having lived in Calgary, AB for the past 17 years.   And they left there high school son behind with grandparents until at least the end of the school year.

But she sounded soooooo good.   They moved on February fourth, and I'm thrilled they finally realized there dream.  There dream to reach kids who are on there last chance of growing up somewhat productive adults.

  • Good morning.

    Its a day.

I woke up in the middle of the night spending a hour trying to let go of something.  I woke up this morning trying to let go of something.

It apparently doesn't want to let go.  I enjoy banging my head on a brick wall you knew this right?

    LOL

On other notes my painting is all done.  Well, accept for the computer area, but that isn't gonna take long, and I'll do it when we get the stuff out of this corner.  My desk and piano are just too massive to move, and I have no idea where there gonna go when I do.

Today is Wednesday which me Awana in the evening.

I have several themes running through my head going over and over which are driving me batty.  My poor husband.  I talked and talked and talked last night.

The one conversation is a long one that involves the word Christian and what it means.   And how its essentially became a dirty word.   Its a long one, that I'm still working over in my head.  In the Middle East missionarys are teaching people to refer to themselves as friends of Jesus, or followers of Jesus or the like.  The word Christian has come to define so many things that have nothing to do with Christ it doesn't remotely have the original meaning.  I like having discussions like that it makes my brain hurt a bit, but it also makes me think.

The other conversation I had was about genetics.  It also gave me a headache.   ROFL  His B.A. in science was stretched a bit.

Neither conversations had a resolve.  I hate conversations like that.  They wake me up in the middle of the night while I look for a solution.

I like black and white.  I am a black and white person--hey maybe that's why I have black and white kids.  Sorry I'm rabbit trailing again.   I don't do loose threads well.  And there's several of them in my head I want to pull on, or tie in a knot.  LOL   So, that's life from this crazy house.

  •

The color I finally ended up with.  I'm very happy with it.  And the first coat is all up.    Its covering very well so I may get away with only one.  *cheers*

  • My kids are goofy!

I found out that Clallam Bay has this store called the Rummage Store.  Its open 3 days a week for about 5 hours.  Clothes, nic-nacks etc for cheap.  I missed it before because there sign is only up when its open.  A lady at the game last night told me about it.

Anyhow clothes are SUPER cheap, and I went and had a look.  I found some new pj's for Jer, a cute little play dress for Rainee, a pair of Pj's for Kaylin, and a skirt for Zeri.  So, their all wearing them....including Kaylin.  Its not night time, but its new, and so she wears it.  snicker.

Oh, and how much did I spend?? $2.00 LOL

  • Good morning.

Rob is on the warpath (legitimately).  When the kiddos came over yesterday we had to let them use our master bathroom, as the kids bathroom was an embarassment.  And we were greatful it was nice outside as you literally couldn't walk across there bedroom floor.  And ironically it had been cleaned Saturday.

They have absolutely NO pride whatsoever.  *sigh*

So, he's making them clean it--and they are not impressed.  Mommy made a new rule in regards to bedrooms.  No tv until the bedroom is clean.  They're not impressed--wah!

I almost took pre-pictures to show you how much I'm not exaaggerating, but was embarassed to let anyone see how big of slobs they are.  *beats head on desk*

Anyhow, I'm headed out the door to go buy paint.  And I still don't know what color I'm getting.  *snicker*

Was discussing paint schemes with two ladies online last night, and I liked both of their ideas.  *giggles*  But can only go with one...or one of my own.

This is all rather like spending hours on a computer graphic only to delete it cause I hated it.

  • and the primer is on.  *cheers*  Accept for the corner where the commputer/piano is.  And I'm thinking I shall not do that.

It looks quite good.  Now to go buy paint tomorrow to cover the primer....

  • pant, pant, pant.  Almost done.  But I had to get up off the floor to move, and made a mistake and sat down.

The onlly issue is...the primer isn't latex based, and I have no paint remover..  **OOPS**

I ran to the local store, and they don't sale it, which didn't suprise me.  So, I guess I shall be white until tomorrow.

  • You might be a redneck if.....

Your idea of entertainment is to take your fifteen passenger van around your circle driveway hitting every bump and driving as fast as you can.

But man, it sure is fun!

  • And half of the living room is primered.  It was a good way to work of the grumps.   I'm kinda dealing with some at the moment LOL.

And the painting isn't as impressive as it sounds.  The walls all have panelling on them.  In the living room its a soft brown/off white stripe combo.  I am painting below the chair rail to the floor with primer, and then another color to break up the stripes a bit.  I'm still trying to decide what the other color is.  *snigger*

I'm not usually this indecisive, but its just not jumping out at me what color I want it.   Jer has paint on his nose.  Your suprised right?  (snigger)

And you all knew people were idiots right?  I'm gonna stop there...cause well they just are.  Persons are nice on a one on one basis.  people are idiots.  *snicker*   Myself included.

  • Oh how funny.  Our house has looked so cute, and been company ready since a week after we moved in.  So the very first time someone from Clallam Bay comes over...we just got done pulling the carpet out, and the living room is covered is the subfloor.  Most of the furniture is stored in our bedroom and the girls bedroom.  And we look like a construction zone.  *snicker*

I forgot its Presidents Day, and so two of the men (grandpa & his son) and a whole bunch of kiddos came over to get the hemlock tree that fell down for firewood.  My kids are DELIGHTED, and gonna have tons of fun.

Me I'm just shaking my head at the ugly floor.

It was a MAJOR job to get that carpet out of there, and all those little bitty staples.  And we still have to do the little piece where the piano and computer is.   Rob and I worked from noon until 8:30 on Saturday pulling it out.

We are both DRAGGING now.  LOL
