I have entirely too much energy today, its amazing what 4 days of no rain, and 3 days of sunshine although still in the high 30's (so COLD) will do for you.
I have mowed the lawn, weeded, and when DH got home inspired him to replace the pickets that were missing on our fence. My little close yard is greatly improved. We also hauled off *some* of the branches that fell over the weekend. They are all out of the close yard, the farther out yard...well thats gonna take awhile. LOL
Anyhow my first daffodil is blooming. *cheers* It opened this afternoon. And I keep finding treasures in the garden. Lots of columbines just raising their heads. TONS of primroses blooming, and lots of baby ones trying to grow. Tulips starting to sprout green, and daylillies coming out the wazoo. Any one want some?? LOL
And about 30 other plants I don't recognize yet. This lady did such a marvelous job of planting. So so much better then the last two houses I bought. Both of those had essentially nothing in them, and I did all the work.
This has a TON of shrubs. Rhodadendrums, Lilacs, Hydrangea, and several I have no idea what they are. My sister is coming out tomorrow for dinner armed with her flower book. We're hoping to identify a bit more between us. And oh, I found chives, and cilantro lurking next to the door. At least I think that's cilantro...it might be parsley they look a lot alike. I apparently *didn't* leave all of my herbs behind. I have a MAJOR rosemary bush blooming elsewhere which I have harvested on several occasions.
It feels like spring. I will have much disgust when the rain comes back, but I guess thats why Pacific NOrthwesters appreciate blue so much more. *snicker*

You mowed the lawn?!?! Seems very odd to me in February. I thought you had winters like us out in the Northwest.
