  • okies help me out.  Rainee has very carefully spilled a full bottle of dark blue finger nail polish all over my vinyl floor.  My natural reaction (after I was done shrieking) was to clean it up with finger nail polish removal.  The store is out of it.  Its a 35 minute drive one way to the next possible place. *snort*  I have no desire to drive their until at least Friday, but I also don't want to look at blue.

    Any suggestions???

  • Ohhhh my gosh... is it a no wax? I'd probably use the remover too... or if you catch it wet... water. Oh my gosh. Wait. I went here. It says use the polish remover with acetone with a clean, white cloth. Good luck!

  • no such luck, no polish remover LOL

  • Errr... you're in trouble then. lol.

  • One more possibility:

Nail Polish Stains: On resilient flooring, rub with a cloth dampened in a concentrated detergent solution, or use scouring powder, water, and a plastic mesh pad. On wood and cork, rub gently with steel wool. After removing a stain, rinse the area thoroughly, dry completely, and, if floor finish has been removed in that area, recoat with appropriate finish or wax.

Vinyl might be resilient... Try an SOS pad even. LOL. Bon Ami? Hasn't scratched yet... LOL. Good luck.

  • Once it dries, try a Mr. Clean Eraser.
