  • *SCCCCCCCCREams*

Ever felt violated?  Its the way I feel right now.

I’m absolutely creeped out.   Fingernails on chalk.    Absolutely violated.

I tried to communicate this to my husband, and he was symphathetic, but not completely understanding.

I made a mistake six months ago in continuing in something
online.   The situation is rectified now…but a piece of my
soul is just scared.   Strange actually.

I can’t explain.    But all I know is the right decision
was made regardless of what others think.   It was time to
end the situation before I did loose.

How bizarre is it to feel that way.   Keeps poking at the
situation trying to understand why it creeped me out so bad, and have
no answers.   Except to know…it was time.

And ya’ll are totally confused right now.  But hey life gets that way.

  • Thanks Wommie for all the ideas…

Unfortunately we’ve done them all, or varieties of them.
We’ve played with the base ten cubes, worked on the number charts, and
divided legos and egg cartons into groups.   I guess we’ll
keep doing it.    She gets the basic principle, just
can’t keep them straight in her head.

Zeria is extremely smart, in many regards.   But she’s also
*sigh*  dealing with the lovely drugs her mother took while she
was pregnant.    Somethings just take longer to
click.   So far with time they’ve eached
clicked.    And she *is* reading…so now we go back to
    focus on math.

The one thing I found online was to play rythm games with the number
patterns.   So thats what we’re doing right
now.    We pat our legs four times and clap the
fifth.    Each time we clap we say 5, 10, 15, etc.
This is superb for coordination as well, and hysterical to watch Rainee
attempt it.    Its one of those things we can all do
    together, and worth a try.

If we can actualy master the whole rythm thing we might start playing a
version of Who stole the cooki jar…only using numbers
instead.   Zeria stole 5 cookies from the cookie jar.
Who me yes you,   NO Sam stole 10 cookies from the cookie
    jar.  We shall see.  *grin*

In other news from this house…Jeremiah will be one years old on the
23rd.   I’m trying to figure out how that happened so
quickly.   And Rob has announced he will not be our last
child.   Its kind of funny actually, cause he finally saw
what I did.   Neither of us will ever be happy being retired
and empty nest.   As tired as my parents get, my husband
see’s that route better then the route his parents took of raising
there two boys and being done.  Trips to Hawaii, and craft
    projects to entertain them.

So, someday we will find a sibling group that needs some love and add
them to our family.   But NOT anytime soon…unless of course God
has a really funny sense of humor.
Anyway the picture is of Jeremiah taken this morning.  He’s my
budding pianist you know.   He’s walking 5-8 steps, but only
from daddy to mommy or vice versa.   The rest of the time he
    cruises on everything.

I woke up this morning to beautiful base piano beating.  thump,
thump, thump.   I walked around the corner to ask Samuel to
stop…and realized it was Jer.  HE loooooooooves the
piano.   All those lovely noises.  *giggles*

He’s gotten so much fun within the last month or so.  He claps his
hands when he’s excited, and shakes his head no emphatically for many
things.   This morning I told him he was a pain.
And he said un uh un uh.   I think he had an opinion about
that.  LOL   And he’s learned to cuddle.   He
just buried his head into my neck and I want to melt into a puddle of
    goo.

    My last biological baby….sooooooooo sweet.

  • Good morning

Lots of errands to do today, and phone calls to make.   We
are the proud owners of mounted gutters and downspouts.
Okay, maybe not so proud, but the work is done to satisfy the buyers
    lender.  LOL

The sceptic inspector is coming this afternoon…and the sceptic lid we
ordered is supposedly in this morning.   Talk about cutting
it close….so we have to run to Sequim to put it on.

I believe also on the agenda is some more boxes, ghost poop, and news paper.

But first school.   We are three letters to having
accomplished learning all the sounds that letters
make.    I’m really hoping to be done by
Friday.   One letter a day.   We usually would have
a review in there…but I’m sseeing the end of that particular
    tunnel.  LOL

The kids reading workbooks are waiting for them, and they are really
looking forward to reading stories every day instead of
    occassionally.      The beginning workbooks,
don’t have stories every day, but a lot of meshing blends
    together.

I had to stop Zeria’s math again as she hit another hurtle.
She struggles a lot with memorizing lists of things.
And in order to count money without a headache you need to be able to
count in 5′s and 10′s.    And in order to tell time you
need the same thing.    She understands the concept,
just is not being able to do it without thinking.   So I
spent hours online researching ways to teach her…and have something I
think we’ll work.   OF course if Wommie wanted to offer hints
I’d be more then willing to listen.  LOL.

25′s she gets….cause she needs 6 of them to buy a pop.  *Snigger*

Zeria is a bit behind in math, and a teensy bit behind in
reading.  But miles and years ahead in Science, and History, and
Sociology.   So it all works out.   The good news
is she is now reading on her own.   And without
prompting.    She is even working ahead in her work
    books without prompting.  *grin*

    And other then that life.

  • Tracie your spelling actually makes more sense.   And yes
Standing in his altogether means naked.

I used it last night in a post and the person who I was writing with
thought it was a typo.   She had never heard it.
So I asked another person from Washington she had heard of
it.   So then we thought it was a regional thing.
But Acronymph had heard it, and she’s from Ontario.   Then we
decided maybe it was a old-fogey thing.  Its not.   My
husband had never heard it   *sniggers*

And yes I’ve spent entirely too much time on this
expression.   But it fascinates me when you come up with
something 50% of people haven’t heard before as to where the word
    originates.

Rob is back to the regional thing, and blames it on my Canadian
heritage.  Saying its probably a more British expression, which
would explain why the Kiwi’s know it.  *snicker*     But
how does that explain Dee??  giggles.     Its
a mystery.   And yes I’ve tried googling it…and didn’t get
    much help.

  • Okies help me out.   Quick poll.

Whose heard the expression “Standing in his all together.”   And can tell me what it means.

Somebody told me it was a regional expression…..But that has been proven wrong, now I’m just plain curious.

  • and I’m out of boxes.   My school stuff is all packed, as are all the photo albums, and scrapbooks.

I actually only have two things left that I can pack now.   And one of them I rather scared of packing.

Its my grandma’s China, and the brick a brack in my china
cabinet.   The stuff in there is just sooooooooooooo
breakable.   Eyes it with fear.   I have a big
glass ball (a old Japanese fishing bouy)  A ancient tea set of my
    grandma’s.   My husbands great-grandfathers pocket watch (a
family heirloom passed down to the oldest son.)   The list
    goes on.   *cringes*

My sisters comment was she’d be tempted to pack them very last and put
them in my DH’s car.   I’m rather leaning toward her
idea.    Except I know I won’t be using the stuff
between now and then and would love to have it out of the
way.    Any ideas as to how to make it
safe??   All the other times I packed I just didn’t have
breakables.   And yes, I’ve moved.  FIVE times the first
    year of my marriage.

Contemplating going and buying a bunch of ghost poop from U-Haul or
somewhere, but not sure if even that will make all the breakable
    treasures safe……

Oh I got the China, my sister got my grandma’s piano.
Which worked out great as I already have a piano.    Its
not ancient China…but it is very pretty.   And hums a lot
and thinks it over some more.

    *edit*
You know I think I have an addiction to pictures.  I have four
boxes full of picture frames, and am going to acquire at least two more
    when I get more boxes.

  • Good morning

My kids have ALL been awake since 4 am.    I am so
grumpy.   All of the sickos apparently are feeling much
    better now.  Except me.  LOL

We will know that the homeowner won’t be backing out the 14th (or he
looses 5000 dollars).    We are closing November
    29th.

I’m just tired tanky very much.      And I
have do school.    After three months of doing it every
day we took last week off, so time to get the grind back in, as I know
we will be taking days off when we move.

I have the strong desire to whine.  LOL

Anyhow here’s all the munchkins, and some not so much munchkins anymore
that were at my house yesterday.   With the exception of
    Jeremiah.  LOl

  • And after much trial and effort, Justin has a new signature.

I know most of you are going huh??   *giggles*
Its for my role-playing.   This is my Caretaker of the
pixies.   He’s half elven half pixie.    He’s
the proud and exhausted father of triplets.   He’s also the
proud new owner of a Bardic Web Scroll.   Oh wait thats me
that has a new toy.   After 5 years of being online I finally
have a board.      And yes this probably means I’m nuts.

But thats okay its a lot of fun to be nuts sometimes.   If
anyone’s intrested in giving it a peak, or even coming and playing I’d
LOVE to chat with you about it.  Its not as intimidating as it
sounds…and it is a lovely stress reliever.

    So thats my secret.  *snicker*

Dinner with my family was lovely today.   They didn’t stay
long as my sister had to drive back to Portland, but it was still
fun.   I have a lovely picture of a bunch of the kiddos which
    I’ll have to share tomorrow.

Had another mild run-in at church.   I guess when you
consider church members family you start fighting like family some
days.  (bangs head against desk repeatedly)

And Jamari, Rainee, and JEremiah are coming down with a
cold.   Jamari is currently the sickest with a fever of 102,
    and a nasty croupy cough.

Days to move…are rapidly approaching.  My books are all packed as are my videos.   *cheers*

Not sure what I’m going to tackle next, as I still have to function here too……

  • Good morning

Mob coming over for lunch.   My oldest adopted sister is up
from Portland for the weekend.    So, somehow my whole
family is ending up over for dinner.

Oh that would be my fault…*snicker*

Just gonna have a big huge pot of spaghetti, and garlic
bread.   My sil is bringing a salad, my sis a
    cake.   It’ll work.

I’m praying for sunshine so some of the kids can be kicked outside, but
if not oh well.   We’ve fit before.

Actually with my brother moving, this is probably one of the last
impromptu dinners.  Man I so hope not.   I’ve thoroughly
enjoyed being all spoiled and having most of my family close….
