Drug Cocktail
Flexeril and Midol make a looooooooooooovely drug cocktail.
My sister says I should not do it again. My friend thought
I was the life of the party. And I actually
didn't "truely" mix-them, but they had to blame something on my
goofiness. This morning I woke up in pain...well I'd gone to bed in pain so it
wasn't that big of a suprise. And a hour into the morning I
was absolutely on the verge of hysteria. I decided it
was the pain and took a Flexeril that the doctor gave me for my back,
and told Rob I was heading to bed. This was
9'ish. I woke up at 11 to find I had a
visitor. After a 8 or 9 month Hiatus Aunt Flo is
back. Much was explained about the crying when I saw that.
I went back to bed. It was necessary LOL
But this afternoon there was a gingerbread tea for Awana and my girls
very very much wanted to go. I was not
excited. The flexeril has a 4 hour life
expetency and it had been 3 hours 45 minutes or so.
So, I decided if I was going to survive the party I should take a
Midol. Usually it makes me dopey. Apparently
NOT today. I was just rather boingy. Like my
dippsy wipsy pixie charries. Sis just
kept staring at me. ROFLMy friend said it was great. *giggles*
I made a snow-man that looks like Gonzo.
Seriously. I wish I had a picture. Its a gingerbread
house snowman, not a "real" snowman. The tea is part
fun, and part work. We have a nice little tea thing, and a
speaker, and then we break up in teams and build gingerbread
houses. The houses are pre-made we just do the
decorating. They are then sold at the Awana Christmas Tree
festival. My sis, sil, a friend and I
worked on one. The kiddos had graham cracker houses they
could decorate and take home. They all chose to sit
together at a non-adult table...which was just fine with usOur house turned out lovely, and I really should have brought my
camera. LOL Anyhow my snow man was 3 marshmallows on
top of each other. Redhots for buttons. Pieces of
gumdrop molded into circles for eyes. And a orange gumdrop
molded into a carrot for a nose. It really was quite
cute. *honest*But everybody that walked by started snickering. We decided it was either E.T or Gonzo. *giggles*
The serious creating I did was the fence, and walk-way.
They were quite lacey and pretty. The fence was out
of square pretzels, and red/white mints. I also made a
street light, and candy cane gate. In otherwords I did the
sugar-landscape. LOLAt least I didn't build a out-house. My friend did
that. Complete with a little half-moon. It sits in
the yard of our gingerbread house...*snigger*So, in other words I had fun. Silly adult, non-brain
fun. No fights, no squabbles, no whiney kids, just fun.Man you have no idea how badly I needed that...actually I had no idea
how badly I needed it. Because quite honestly I absolutely
didn't want to go...and I'm soooooo glad I did.Drug-cocktail and all. *snigger*

The best fellowship times I've had have occurred when I so did not want to go. *hugs* Glad you had fun!
