Thanks Wommie for all the ideas...
Unfortunately we've done them all, or varieties of them.
We've played with the base ten cubes, worked on the number charts, and
divided legos and egg cartons into groups. I guess we'll
keep doing it. She gets the basic principle, just
can't keep them straight in her head.Zeria is extremely smart, in many regards. But she's also
*sigh* dealing with the lovely drugs her mother took while she
was pregnant. Somethings just take longer to
click. So far with time they've eached
clicked. And she *is* reading...so now we go back to
focus on math. The one thing I found online was to play rythm games with the number
patterns. So thats what we're doing right
now. We pat our legs four times and clap the
fifth. Each time we clap we say 5, 10, 15, etc.
This is superb for coordination as well, and hysterical to watch Rainee
attempt it. Its one of those things we can all do
together, and worth a try.If we can actualy master the whole rythm thing we might start playing a
version of Who stole the cooki jar...only using numbers
instead. Zeria stole 5 cookies from the cookie jar.
Who me yes you, NO Sam stole 10 cookies from the cookie
jar. We shall see. *grin*In other news from this house...Jeremiah will be one years old on the
23rd. I'm trying to figure out how that happened so
quickly. And Rob has announced he will not be our last
child. Its kind of funny actually, cause he finally saw
what I did. Neither of us will ever be happy being retired
and empty nest. As tired as my parents get, my husband
see's that route better then the route his parents took of raising
there two boys and being done. Trips to Hawaii, and craft
projects to entertain them.

So, someday we will find a sibling group that needs some love and add
them to our family. But NOT anytime soon...unless of course God
has a really funny sense of humor.
Anyway the picture is of Jeremiah taken this morning. He's my
budding pianist you know. He's walking 5-8 steps, but only
from daddy to mommy or vice versa. The rest of the time he
cruises on everything.I woke up this morning to beautiful base piano beating. thump,
thump, thump. I walked around the corner to ask Samuel to
stop...and realized it was Jer. HE loooooooooves the
piano. All those lovely noises. *giggles*He's gotten so much fun within the last month or so. He claps his
hands when he's excited, and shakes his head no emphatically for many
things. This morning I told him he was a pain.
And he said un uh un uh. I think he had an opinion about
that. LOL And he's learned to cuddle. He
just buried his head into my neck and I want to melt into a puddle of
goo.My last biological baby....sooooooooo sweet.
