  • *yaaaaaawn*  We're back from Family Camp.

    It was wonderful.  And exhausting.  LOL  All of the adults were extremely excited to head for their "real" beds tonight.

    I get my real bed for the next 3 nights and then we pack our camping gear *back* up and we head to the capital for the night.   Gonna go meet someone in real life after reading her xanga for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time.

    I may cruise the boards...but I don't think I'll write anything...just entirely too brain dead.

    I took a lot of pictures, and my 15 year old sister who is just discovering the joys of photography also took some.   I'll probably put up some tomorrow.  Its getting slower and slower to load them up to xanga, so it just depends on the time I have.

    Oh yes...and I have a voice bug.   In that a bug has attacked it.  Its not quite laryngitus probably as I can talk...but only in the base range...and it cracks frequently.   I sound rather like a teenaged boy whose voice is changing.  Such fun.

    One hopes this goes away before Friday.

    Our speaker for Family camp had a wicked sense of humor and was incredibly computer savy.   As we got to talking...I realized I *know* you...sniggers madly.   I have a friend who *loves* your site.  He is a pastor to a smallish church in Victoria, B.c.  He however has a rather large following online.   I think several of you will recognize Pastor Tim's Clean Laugh site?

    Yup that was him.  *giggles*  Does saying its a Small world seem a bit trite.

    And trust me Pastor Tim is incapable of going for more then two minutes without cracking a joke.  I know now why he runs that site.  What an incredibly personable person.

    And I have no idea what his speaking is like.  *snigger*  As I was busy doing the kids speaking time in another room.  But I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him while watching my kids.  And I also appreciated his help tugging my jogger up the LOOOOOOOOOOOONG hill from the lake.

    Now if our church had introduced the speaker as Pastor Tim of Pastor Tim's clean laughs...I can almost guarantee the population would have upped itself by 50%.

    Okies...I gotta call Rob.  Have a great evening all!

  • *waves*

    I'm mellowing a bit.

    Rob was thinking I was going into overload.  I was.  *Snigger*

    So this evening the Ladies Retreat,

    Sunday SS object lesson, Fathers Day, and Family Camp.

    I'm starting to feel a bit more organized.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
    Hey did ya know when you print out iron-on-transfers its very important you put the ink on the transfer side?
    Did you know that if you don't...and you put the iron on the transfer side it makes a REALLY big mess.
    I do...from personal experience.  T-shirts major bomb.   Just didn't copy well onto the shirts.   Oh well its a good thing I had something else for Rob as well.   I don't for my dad...so back to town I go this morning.
    Other then that it will probably be Wednesday before I'm back online...see ya all then.  *waves*
    Runs away.
    Well always knew that about math. *Snigger* My kids will be tutored in Math in H.S. or we're all screwed. Usually I do better in logic...but its before caffeine. *snigger* I'll settle for genius in the verbal catagory. *giggles* And Exceptional is quite nice too. ROFL. My husband who *is* good at logic and *has* had caffeine stared at the one question for awhile and walked away muttering nothing good. So it can't be just me. Okies nothing to say. Still have 9 pictures to color. *ugh* Printer didn't die on me, although it *did* crash the computer 5x while printing the t-shirt transfers. I was so wiped last night I did *not* attempt ironing them on...it would not have been pretty. I need to go to Walmart today to get pictures developed *ugh* more printing. I don't want to. *Weeps* We shall see. If I waited until tomorrow I could leave kids with dh. hmmmmmmm
  • woo Family Camp is creeping up on me, as is the Ladies Retreat.  Their both being held at Camp David Junior starting Friday-through Wednesday.  I have stuffs that has to be done for both, and I'm so NOT ready.   Beats printer into printing faster.    I only have like 12 more pictures to color for the missions story.  I know what I'm gonna be doing tonight.
    I wrote out my monologue for SS yesterday, so just have to print that, as well as print the actual missions story out, seeings I got it online at New Tribes Mission.    Poor printer its getting its work out.
    Nevermind I have to print my dads and Rob's shirts out tonight and attempt to do the iron on transfers.
    Pats the printer again.   Its a good thing I have LOTS of ink.
    And dang its just gonna hurt my feelings having to sit here all day printing stuff out.   *surfs mostly without guilt*  *giggles*
    New Tribes mission btw is a excellent resource for Kids Missionary storys.  They have free graphics, and storys.   Just go to their main side, and then click kids stuff.  I was delighted to find them.   My hubbys grandparents were NTM missionaries in Panama.    They have wonderful educational resources.    When my kids are older I want to run them through their Bible program as its a superb picture of the Bible as a whole, rather then chopped up little pieces like we like to serve it.
    Okies must print.  *waves*
  •
    So this is what DH is getting on a t-shirt for Fathers Day.  He loves personalized t-shirts.  *grin*    And its good for a giggle or two.
  • whew time to blog
    Yesterday I snuck on a couple times, but never with time to actually blog.  Rob took MOnday off to give him time to recoop from the marathon.  He's actually doing quite well.  And cut eighteen minutes off his last years time.     This was a major accomplishment considering he broke his leg a month after last years.  LOL
    I'm writing on a new story in a new world and
    thoroughly enjoying it.
    OOOH a Jeremiah picture.   This was him waiting for Zeria and SAm to run in their kids marathon.  He's soooooo cute.  Okay I'm his mom of course I think he's cute.  *giggles*
    The suprise of the day at the kids marathon was Samuel left daddy and Zeria IN THE DUST man.   He didn't come in first as it wasn't intended to be a race, but he was at least five minutes ahead of her.     Rob and I still stunned by this.  Zeria was absolutely exhausted after her mile point two.  Samuel...well the picture says it all.  *snicker*
    The point behind the kids marathon is they logged in running for a month and a bit before until they clocked 25 miles.   Then they ran 1.2 all together with all the other kids doing it to say they'd clocked a marathon.   They gave each kid a cool marathon t-shirt and a ribbon.    It was a ton of fun.    And well worth the $10 per kid.  Kaylin was more then a bit miffed about not getting to run, but she just couldn't have gone that far this year IMHO.  So next year she will get to.
    I actually piggy-backed Zeria some on the way back to the car she was just exhausted.  Of course the fact that she got asthma didn't help.   And bad bad parents didn't have albuterol on them.   I have gotten sooooooo careless about this.   And will NOT be repeating that again any time soon.
    I'm crotcheting myself a little tiny purse thing to wear around my neck like a necklace and I will just wear the atrovent and albuterol at all times.   There are so many things to remember in and out of cars with six children that adding the albuterol and atrovent is tricky.   There's also the issue we can't have two at a time thanks to insurance regs so I'm gonna design something not too funky and fix the problem.    My first attempt I rushed and was *not* happy with, so I will try again today.
    Baccalaureate;  Yeah that was this weekend too.   Well a few details went astray.   Like the list I gave to a elder to give to his wife.    I'm assuming his wife will find it when she does his laundry.  *beats man senseless*   And then there was the fact that the invitation, church bulletin, and church news letter said 6:00...and the school carefully announced it at 7:00.    *sigh*   So church members got flexible and went at 7...next year gonna have to leave explicit directions at the school....
    The problem is 4 years ago our church stopped having evening service at 7 and went to six.   The school...keeps forgetting.    I'm pleased they actually announced it...just wish they'd read the time on the invites right.  *Snicker*
    Rob's marathon went well, and I don't have the pictures off my puter yet.   And now its time to move on to today.  The sun is currently shining...don't expect that to last too young.   This has been the nastiest June.   Every time the sun creeps out we all run out and worship it, cause it will leave within ten minutes.   Bring me sun pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.
    My kids are begging for the "schedule" back.  (i.e. school)   Funny ducks.   They don't like free-time.   So thats the plan, back to the schedule.    Although I'm gonna be tweaking it a bit in the next couple weeks cause there's some things that just aren't quite working.  But tis okay some things are working awesome.
    *waves*  and runs away.
    Oh wait.
    Finally brothers whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of god repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.  Philippians 4:8
  • whew
    Yesterday was just neverending.  And today is almost as bad.
    Yesterday was payday, so had to do the normal grocery shopping, plus I had to get the stuff needed for baccalaureate.   So I headed to Costco which is an hour one way.  *sigh*  Then Walmart, then another store for Hot Tub chemicals.  Leaving at 8 in the morning I was headed in the direction of home by 1:20.     I got home we quickly unloaded the grocerys so the frozen stuff wouldn't melt, and then had to head to the public school to get the key for the cafeteria so we can use it for baccalaureate.
    Got back from that sat and stared for about 25 minutes and then back into the car to take Jeremiah to his six month check-up.
    I had forgotten some things for baccalaureate at Walmart so I had to go baaaaack afterwards where Rob met me and we had our date night.
    I wasn't the most energetic date ever.     But it was sure nice to have a kid break, and we finally got to see Star Wars.  It was pretty good...though I was mad at the jedi.  *snigger*  And rather felt sorry for Annikan for most of the movie.
    Sooooo today I have to decorate for baccalaureate it shouldn't take too long.    I hope.
    Then we come home and get running shoes on Zeria and Sam and they are gonna do a marathon...unless I just say nevermind I'm so tired.
    We also have to go into town to pick up Rob's marathon stuffys, and our car.   Its sitting in the Walmart parking lot as I was too tired to drive after the movie.    Didn't exactly think I would make it home in one piece.
    Tomorrow is Rob's marathon.   Its a all day event, and the kids and I will follow the race popping in here and there.  I have a nice bunch of food stuffs packed in the car to keep them from getting hungry, and even splurged and bought juice boxes as a treat.    We all enjoyed tagging the race last year, so hopefully we do again this year.
    *pant, pant, pant*
    So Monday it will be before I get to stare for a bit.  Its okay I stared a couple days this week knowing things were gonna be this nasty hectic this weekend.
  •  Things that amuse.
    Rainee was delighted to see me when I woke up from my nap.   She had a eye for me.   She drew a little circle and cut it out and it was a eye.  I always needed eyes behind my back...maybe I should tape it there!
    To anyone who holds their pain inside
    To anyone who thinks they’re not good enough
    To anyone who feels unworthy of love
    To anyone who ever closed the door
    Closed their eyes and locked themselves away
    You don’t have to hide
    You don’t have to hide anymore
    You don’t have to hide anymore
    We all been there, so don’t be ashamed
    Come out, come out and join the rest of us
    You’ve been alone for way too long
    And if you feel like no one understands
    Come to the One with scars on His hands
    ‘Cause He knows where you are and where you’ve been
    His scars will heal you if you let Him
    Thanks for checking out my background.  I might change the font color later....I'm headed out in a few minutes now.   And we all know messing with web stuff never takes "just a few".
    The picture btw is taken 45 minutes from my house....Rob and I were there 2 weeks ago on a date night.   Any and all xanga's are welcome to a piece of my couch to come see it......*grin*
    The mountains are the Olympics on the Olympic Peninsula.   They are snow covered year round.   The view is from Hurricane Ridge.   In the 1950's back when they were still spending money they built a lovely rode so you can drive right up to them and sit in the meadows.  No work for this view, no nasty sweaty hike...just sit and say wow!
    I took a day off yesterday.  Did absolutely nothing of consequence...well except make sure six kiddos were fed, clothed, and didn't kill themselves on anything.
    It felt good, and I feel much saner now.  It has also helped that for the past 3 nights JEremiah has gone down at 7:30 in the evening, woke up at 11, and 4 is all to nurse.   I'm awake at 11, so he only woke me up once a night for 3 whole nights.  Its amazing how revitalized one feels when they actually sleep.........
    Okies supposed to go to the chiropractor, so off I go.
  • Remodelling at xanga........I think its okay, but can everybody read the font okay?  I know different monitors do strange things to stuff....
