Month: March 2005

  • One load in the dryer, one in the washing machine and the wretched stuff will be caught up...

    Now for all the other things I should be doing.

    Oh yeah, did I mention the insanity that starts Thursday?

    Thursday kaylin turns 5.   Friday is pay day and grocery shopping, and a physical for Kaylin.   Saturday our two oldest are driving to a Sparks contest 2 plus hours one way away.    It will be a all day exhausting event.  Sunday is easter, and ALL my family is coming....all 25 of us.

    Soooooooooo  I have to get everything house ways caught up about Wednesday.

    Peers around it and screams wildly.     Breathes.  One crazy step at a time.

  •

    ta-da!  The new dresser.  I am currently bidding on some glass pull knobs for it, but in the meantime these brass ones will work.   Of course this picture would look better if my kids stuff wasn't looming in the background.

    And thanks Kayte for the excellent link.  Those look perfect, and remove my need to make a theological decision I wasn't in mood to research.

    Now...the laundry.   Oh, do I have to????

  • Okies surely someone can help me on this.

    My son LOVES cards.   Samuel is just thrilled with trading cards.   And as its a way to subtley encourage his reading I'm okay with it.

    But I have absolutely NO clue whats in. etc.

    Rob for reasons I'm not willing to discuss in hesitant about D&D cards.   But I know there's lots of other options.  Any one have a little boy who collects them?   Any one recommend anything.

    I don't even know how to begin to research..........

  • OO no she's loose.  The crazy cackling granny.   She's wacky, she's weird....so weird that the Xraden the god of chaos adores her, which in and of itself is more then slightly terrifying.

    She's a side of me that lets my hair down and says stuff I would never say or do with anybody else.  But because she's a senile pixie with the libidio of Lwaxana Troi......she gets away with it.  Or is unaware that she doesn't.

    And   she's on the rampage.   I almost feel like I should apologize to the erstwhile elf who was unwarned and unprepared to meet his ummmm doom?  match?

    Look out world!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    And no I haven't lost my mind.  The normal sane mommy will return tomorrow.   In the meantime Granny Rain has kidnapped my blog.
    *giggles madly*   And pats all the handsome derriere's she can find.
  • We're headed out for a walk.
    I recieved an entiphany from someone today.  I'm thinking on it......
    Maybe more blogging on that later.
    Its been a intresting week.  I have my dresser about 1/2 sanded.    And I oiled the top.  Its looking beautiful.    I hope to finish it today...but we shall see.   My shoulders are a bit achey.
    Actually I'm just achey all over.   It sucks big time.  But apparently is rebecomming a part of my life.  *GROWLS*
    But I'm not going there...instead I'm going on a hike with my family.  Ta-Ta
  • Here we go....Its not quite as ugly as the picture makes it.  *giggles*
    Of course Rainee was thoroughly excited cause "It has stickers on it."
    Those are coming off asap!!
    IT has beautiful bones and its 100% real cherry.  None of this laminate stuffys
  • Coolies I went treasure hunting.  Well actually to Good Will.   But I found this beautiful shabby sheik (how is that spelled?) cherry dresser.   Sturdy, and the perfect size to be my kitchen island.   It just needed new drawer pulls.    And will fit into my 100 year old  house quite nicely.  All for $25.   I love second hand stores.  Especially when your not actually looking for something.
    Oh I also love my hubby...cause he loaded all the kids up and went to pick it up for me...it just wouldn't fit into the Geo.  *giggles*
    Yup, I'll take a picture...
  • Maudlin'
    Soooooooo wanta here the outcome of the test?  Me too.  ROFL
    It didn't work.  As in I can't take one right.    Of course trying to take a test and holding a baby at the same time isn't always a great combo.
    You can laugh now...I am.  Apparently I'll wait awhile and see if I'm just late.
    Todays a new day and I refuse to sulk any longer.  Its Friday, my husbands home for three days, if I feel crappy I can go to bed and stay there.   *cheers*   And butterflies and roses all around.
    I'm having fun writing.    I'm starting to get back into the skin of my character.    hip hip hooray.     And determined to keep her light and airy.  She's just more fun that way, and it is who she is.
    *yaaaaaaaaaaawns*   Could you tell me why my son had to nurse every 30 minutes all night long.  And why I'm not grumpy as a result.  I guess it was the song I wrote out last night.
    Its a beautiful song I learned in college.   And it refocused me.    Old, possibly antiquated, but still all powerful.
    Oh and a date night tonight.     And the romantic smell of burnt crayon wax on our propane stove.  woooooooo
  • I've opened and closed this window three times now.
    "God never moves without purpose or plan,
    When trying a servant or molding a man,
    He makes no mistakes though his testing seems hard.
    In darkness he gives us a song.
    So rejoice in the Lord, He makes no mistakes.
    He knoweth the end of each path that I take.
    For when I am tried, and purified.
    I shall come forth as gold.
  • its been a day.
    I made a wonderful dinner.  MMMM Crockpot chicken fajitas.  Its a must repeat.
    I'm tired.
    I didn't walk today due to being so nauseous.   I'm ready for the bug to go bye-bye.
    Good news is tomorrow's the weekend.   *cheers*  I plan to do as little as possible.
    Back to baby steps.   Small little ones.
