paging all computer geeks. I have sumfin' wrong with my computer. *help*
I can't update Norton...it crashes. I try to run adware...it crashes. I tried to run pestpatrol it gets so far and crashes.
Each time I get this error.
VMM (12) + 00004C3C Error: 0E:0028 C0283C
Any other suggestions??
I deleted my cookies, and tried to delete my temporary internet folders...got the same error.
Sense the recurring theme? I'm rather tired of rebooting my computer. I made very sure and careful that ALL my pictures are saved on cd's yesterday....cause it appears that dying is rather in mind.
Soooooo HELP?

There is some virus out there that uninstalls Norton, and does other things. I am not sure if this is the error message you get though. If you go to Norton directly and search the error message then I think that it should tell if this is it.
I think that you may want to go to your "Start" menu and then access your Control Panel. Go into Add/Remove programs and remove Norton's. Then reboot your computer and re-install it. If it's not completely uninstalled before being installed again, you will get lotsa errors. Hope it is something as simple as this and not anything worse than that.
Have no idea...I can ask Chris though... I'm just tryign to stay connected online myself.

I am not sure but do you have restore system cds that will let you reformat your computer? It is real easy to do if you have the cds....it will wipe out everything on your computer and then give you back your computer like when you first bought it with nothing on it! You just reinstall all your software....
